A - Burgundy color with a one-finger, khaki colored head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass.

S - It smelled of sherry with some fruity notes. Nice toffee aroma, too.

T - Could really taste the sherry and fruitiness. Good sweet toffee and caramel, too.

M - Crisp, sharp and smooth. A medium bodied to full bodied ale.

O - This is a really good sherry barrel aged barleywine.

A - Pours a murky caramel color with burgundy hues. Has a light khaki head that dissipates into a thin ring around the glass.

S - Malty backbone, toffee/caramel, brown sugar and light dark fruits.

T - Great great great! The taste follows the smell with a kick of the sherry barrel. Even on the end taste there's a mild tartness to it. Loved it!

M - Medium bodied with medium to high carbonation. Not cloying or too sugary sweet.

O - An interesting and great barrel aged barleywine with a twist of sherry. I seriously dug this beer.

Bottle # 2012/480.

Pours a murky honey orange with a foamy beige head that settles to an oily film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, brown sugar, toffee, and some fruity aromas. Taste is much the same with a fruity sherry flavor on the finish. There is a mild amount of woody bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and sticky mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty and interesting.
