Notes:
A variation of a West Coast IPA, this India Pale Ale has a nice Copper color, and a slight caramel flavor from Caravienne Malt. Summit and Amarillo Hops, provide a nice grapefruit and citrus flavor and aroma. Sure to please the Hop Heads out there. OG - 13.5 FG - 2.4 IBUs - 62 - ABV - 6.0%

The beer pours a hazy gold color with a thick frothy white head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is decent. It has a solid pale malt scent along with a nice citrus hop aroma. There is a bit of yeasty esters present as well. The taste is decent as well. Again, it has a light pale malt flavor that's dry and easy drinking. The hop character is moderate, yet adequately bitter with a citrus feel. It seems to have a Belgian yeast character to it. It's fruity with some earthy notes. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a medium bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is a very drinkable IPA. It's nothing flashy, just a solid beer with excellent drinkability.

Appearance: hazy yellow. Pretty clear.
Aroma: it has the usual citrusy Ipa aroma. It's good but it's a bit misleading.
Taste: oh wow. It tastes like broccoli and cauliflower. It's a huge vegetal mess. No noticeable hoppiness, bitterness, or hop flavor.
Mouthfeel: well carbonated and average mouthfeel.
Overall: definitely not something I would get again. Wait until the next batch. This one is rather disappointing.

Pours a cloudy copper color with good lacing. The aroma is not quite as strong as I was expecting. but, nice none the less. Citrusy grapefruit dominates the nose. The grapefruit comes up front in the taste as well. Followed by some other citrus flavors and a touch of breadiness and sweetness from the caramel malt. I was hoping for a bigger hop punch from something that claims to be a variation of a West Coast IPA. I would really like to see a bigger hop profile here. But, this is still a moderately hoppy, well done, East Coast style IPA.
