Bottle from the brewery, picked up on Brian's recommendation. $8, which is reasonable IMO.
This is not a pale ale. It's reddish brown, clear and capped with a large, light brown head with excellent retention and lacing. The nose has plenty of dry hop character, minty, earthy and fruity. In addition, there's a moderate yeast character, with phenols, a touch of fruity bubblegum and just yeast. This pairs quite well with the malt base, which has a blend of light brown sugar, honey, toffee, a little burnt sugar (this character, in particular, pairs wonderfully with the hops). A touch of cookie dough is present as well.
The palate opens with a blend of mild sweetness, grainy and carbonic acidity and a faint hop note. Brown sugar and buckwheat honey flavors are tempered by a grainy husky flavor, as well as a cleansing, acidic bite from the high level of carbonation. Bitterness is moderate, with flavors of pine and mint present. The dry hop character is subtle and is easily whelmed by the stronger flavors from the malt. However, there is some light citrus and mint present, which is nice. Yeast expression is moderate, with a blend of saisonesque funk and a touch of bubblegum. Drying on the finish, this beer is quenching and refreshing. Solid stuff.

750ml : tulip
Pours a hazy brown with a thick, craggy light tan head.
The nose and taste are soft Belgian yeast spice and esters, balanced quite nicely with citric, lemony hops.
Medium body, prickly, foamy carbonation.
A very well balanced, hoppy, Belgian pale.

Belgian Dry Hopped Ale
Collaboration with Widmer Bros.
A - Pours a dark hazy brown with a thick tan head that never completly fades.
S - Hoppy, fruit, esters, Belgian spices, but subtle all-around.
T - Lots of fruits, apple, plum, pear, hoppy grass, Belgian spice and yeast.
D - Tons of carbonation with a lighter body.
O - Very unique mix, but it works really well.
