Slightly fruity, but not too much. Has a very clean and refreshing taste. Not incredibly hoppy, and has a much more refined taste than Imperial. I wish it were more available in the area! I haven't found a place to buy a pack yet, and have only had it in bars.

I encountered this beer and the CRCBC for the first time at Product C in Escazu. They call it a tropical golden ale, and I would be inclined to agree. It was on tap and pours out will very little carbonation and not even a half finger of head on it. Golden is a good description for this cerveza because this beer was just the right gold color. It reminded me of local macros, but this was fruity with much more flavor. There was no lacing on the glass as I drank this. Libertas has notes of pineapple and peach, and is a very easy, smooth beer to drink. I could definitely take a 6 of this to Manuel Antonio or Jaco and enjoy a day on the beach. Libertas is light, a bit sweet, and easy to drink. If you are in Costa Rica definitely pick this up.

This was the first beer that I was able to try from CRCBC. I found it at both La Hacienda and Cafe Milagro in Manuel Antonio.
It's described on the bottle as a "tropical golden ale". Poured into a glass. Not much carbonation is what I noticed first. Golden yellow color with no real head. Had a fruity, almost peach aroma. Taste was good but not very memorable. Had more flavor than a local macro, but it was not balanced. The mouthfeel was too thin for a craft beer also. It's miles above other beers from Costa Rica, but I loved Segua so much more than this one.
