Nice copper body with a good glow. The head is definitely on the thin size but has good color and density. The aroma is intensely malty. Hard woods, toffee and an interesting scuppernong (wild grape native to the Southeastern US) fruitiness that I’ve picked up in a couple of other beers. A nice bit of fresh hops are floating around in the aroma as well. The flavor isn’t quite as good as the aroma, but it’s quite quaffable. The medium bitter finish is neither short nor long.
