A: Poured a light golden color with perfect clarity. The pour produced two fingers of tan colored head that was relatively short lived. No lacing was apparent on the lass of my glass.
S: Caramel, malt and ripe fruit.
T: Sweet malt backbone followed by a complimentary mild hop bitterness. Nicely balanced, but not much else there.
M: A little think on my palate for a APA of only 5% abv. The mouthfeel was that of a beer with much higher alcohol content.
D: A little above average in drinkability because of the nice balanced flavor, despite the heaviness on my tongue.

From: Savor Market, Columbus, OH
Date: None on bottle
Glass: New Belgium globe glass
The beer pours a 1cm tall head of off-white to slightly beige foam, bubbles small in size and fairly compressed in pattern. Retention is minimal, lasting under one minute, but leaving fairly pleasant lacing, a complex, heavy mix of small speckles and dots clinging to the sides of the glass. Body is a dark caramel brown color, with light bringing out a brighter orange hue, with yellow highlights. Carbonation is visible through the transparent body, though it is somewhat sluggish and not substantial in number.
Aroma is of grapefruit juice, pine resin, and American hop as sweetened by caramelized malt sugars, with a fairly good balance between these competing characters, if not a bit less powerful than I was expecting based upon the hops included and IBUs.
Front of palate picks up sweetness from caramelized malt sugars with slightly floral hop characters and hints of strong pine resin and bitter grapefruit and orange flavors. Mid-palate balances the caramelized malt sugars with strong pine resin, bitter grapefruit and orange flavors, honey, and light floral and woodsy characters. Back of palate picks up continued caramel malt sweetness with pine resin and substantial grapefruit-like bitterness, with some lighter orange-like flavors as well. Lingering aftertaste of caramelized malt sugar sweetness and grapefruit-like hop bitterness.
Beer is medium-bodied, with carbonation of medium-low intensity, resulting in a mouthfeel that's marginally fizzy and subsequently foamy, mostly smooth and a bit placid. Closes dry, but with significant stickiness lingering across the palate.

Appearance- Pours a thick white head. Even a gentle pour displaces a large foam top. Pale orange in color, fairly transparent.
Smell- Somewhat complex. The most notable are citrus tones. Hints of grapefruit and a minor sweet note are subtly noted.
Taste- Equal to the smell. More bitter then anything. Not overwhelming bitterness. The expected citrus flavor is noted. Flavor is abundant and quickly disappears and leaves a barely noticeable hop flavor in the mouth afterwards leaving a somewhat stale tinge in .
Mouthfeel- Light on the tongue. Slight carbonation.
Overall- Enjoyable beer to drink. Not overly complex. Consuming two or three in one sitting would be the limit for me. The flavor is to basic to really have any more if other beers are available.
