Pouring blond orange in color, there wasn’t much of a head and only light
lacing in their beer clean glass. The nose was Earthy, with an acidic bite of
alcohol. Citrus tones of lemon and grapefruit accented a thin body and mild
fruity finish. It’s interesting, but not an overwhelming effort, particularly
when compared to some of their other wood aged releases and probably
would have improved with a little longer wait.

On tap at the brewery

A - Slightly hazy straw yellow colour with a ring of white head.

S - Oak, slight funk, some sweet bready malts. Barrel aromas dominate.

T - Big oak up front with a slight funk/sour presence. Some bready malts and Belgian yeast flavours are evident in the background. The barrel overpowers the base beer but the overall flavours are still enjoyable.

M - Light to medium body. Moderate carbonation.
