This pours a cloudy golden color with some banana and clove on the aroma. It’s light, banana-y, estery, with a spice and a kick. The smooth, wheated flavor is a highlight. It has a delicate, light finish. As it warms it develops a banana bubblegum flavor with some cloves rounding it out.

Had on tap at brewery, reviewed from notes.

Appearance: Served in a traditional 23oz Hefeweizen glass with about 2 fingers of a white, thick, creamy, meringue like head that stuck around til the end. Very hazy pale golden color, very traditional.

Smell: Tons of banana, and clove notes everywhere here. You also get some very nice, peppery, bready, yeast character as well, though somewhat subdued compared to the banana, and clove.

Taste: Pretty much mimics the smell, tons, and tons of banana, and clove flavor, it almost tastes like they brewed this with banana, insanely tasty.

Mouthfeel: Very nice and thick mouthfeel, pretty much what you'd expect from a Hefeweizen.

Overall: Very, very tasty brew, and I'm not a fan of Hefe's either, but I always make sure to get a glass of this every time I go to La Cumbre. Really glad they brought this on year round now.
