On-tap at Taco Mac Prado in Atlanta.
Pours black with a one-finger tan head. The head recedes into a wispy layer on top leaving decent lacing.
Smells of deep roasted malts with hints of char and unsweetened chocolate.
Tastes similar to how it smells. Mildly harsh roasted malt flavors kick things off and are joined quickly by even deeper dark malt flavors. Midway through the sip moderate amounts of unsweetened chocolate come into play. Finally, mild amounts of char make an appearance before fading out into a solidly bitter ending.
Mouthfeel is good. It's got a nice thickness with smooth carbonation.
Drinkability is OK. I finished my glass without much problem however I would not look forward to another.
Overall, the appearance and mouthfeel were easily about this beer, otherwise the roastiness and lack of balance were too much.

22 oz. bottle poured into shaker pint glass.
Very dark, clear and clean , aggressive pale tan head boils and dies nicely, throwing aromas!
Aromas of coffee malt beer are bold!
Follows the nose exactly, and so clean and surprisingly light, smooth.
Not sure why the rating is so low, it's much better than "good" in my book.
Close enough to perfect for me and my best. Would buy a bomber or three for each of us next time!

Poured into snifter glass. Black with decent head that disappears almost instantly. Strong smell of chocolate and coffee. Taste follows the nose. Easy drinkability with decent mouthfeel.

Great with Willapoint Osyters. Price was right and the brewery local. Would certainly like to try as a draft. Crisp without an after-taste with oysters. Will certainly drink again.

Pours a black color. 1/3 inch head of a tan color. Good retention and decent lacing. Smells of sweet malt, chocolate, hint of roasted malt, slight alcohol, and a hint of piney hops. Fits the style of an English Porter. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of chocolate, strong sweet malt, hint of roasted malt, hint of oatmeal, hint of piney hops, and sight alcohol. Overall, very chocolaty (almost like chocolate cake), but not cloyingly sweet. Decent blend and good body.
