Pours a clear, deep golden color with a quickly dissipating antique white head. Big grapefruit and peat aromas bounce from the glass. This is a big fella! If it's possible for something to caress and assault the palate all at once, then this is that paradox. Mouthfeel is wet, but that alcohol/hope burn is a spicy meatball. Grapefruit esters bitter this beer nicely.

Surprise beermail from ThaFATkid. Poured from a growler into a Goose Island tulip. A really gorgeous pour with a clear, orange-gold color and a big fluffy sustained head. Lots of terrific tropical fruit notes on the nose. Big whiffs of oranges, grapefruit, peaches, and melons.

Medium body and a good, firm, silky smooth feel on this one. The flavor is just wonderful. Big bitter fruit flavors of grapefruit and oranges all well-balanced against a solid malt backbone that contributes just the right amount of sweetness and body. Toast, marmalade, and orange zest carry across the palate. The beer is quite bitter, but so well-balanced it is extremely drinkable. No trace of booziness. Finishes fairly strong, leaving flavors of orange rind and jolly ranchers behind.

Wow! A terrific IIPA. Brewers everywhere seem to be perfecting the notion of a big, fruity, citrus-flavor-overloaded IIPA. I couldn't be happier. IPAs and IIPAs with big tropical fruit characters are what this style is all about. Awesome!

Enjoyed in the half pint at Papago's Hopageddon festival.

Pale wheat gold with a touch of haze. Head is a nice, fluffy inch of marshmallow cream.

Bright, intense nose. Fresh-cut grass, a mix of tropical and dank notes, some funky orange peel.

Much more tropical in the flavor, with lots of pineapple and mango. Grass, weed, alcohol. Resinous, but in a sugary, fruity way.

Soft, whipped body. Fluffy. Mild carbonation breaks the brew into gentle fizz. Moderate bitterness.

Very nice. Good tropical hop flavors. Bright, funky, resinous.

On tap for the 4th Anniversary event at Blue Palms Brewhouse in Los Angeles, CA.

Pours a clear honey orange with a foamy bone colored head that settles to a small cap on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of citrus fruit, citrus zest, and slight tropical fruit aromas. Taste is much the same along with an alcohol kick and a medium amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is quite tasty and easy to drink.
