Appearance: Light gold, cloudy, nice head, nice carb
Smell: Prominent zesty odors, smells fresh and clean
Taste: Nice orange taste upfront and through the finish
Mouthfeel: Nicely carbonated, clean and refreshing with slight lingering of zest
Drinkability: Too light to be a wit more like an unfiltered lager. Overall a nice beer

Spied this Orange Avenue Wit in the clearance bin at the local DM, and in true to myself fashion I had to both get it and make a silly pun referencing the name in the review: let's hope it's a full Wit and not a half Wit... yes I'm bad.
Poured from a 355ml bottle into a nonic pint.
A: Looks the part, very Wit-like cloudy orange body and a frothy white 1cm head, neato.
S: Wrong, wrong, wrong. Don't know if this has been light-struck or if it's supposed to smell like this but there is a funky cross between coriander and coconut going on that is just plain off-setting. The aroma is more like women's coconut hand moisturiser from bodyshop than a beer.
T: Even worse is the flavour - I'm convinced this is a light-struck beer, no one would want a Wit that tastes like this; funky coriander, bitter orange, slight yeast sour note with a smattering of spices that jar (cardamom, five spice) this brew and make it taste neither refreshing or moreish.
M: Flat and mid to light bodied.
D: Not sure if I had damaged goods but I hope for the sake of the brewer it was. I have rated this accordingly and will ne'er touch this beer with a 10 foot barge pole... helps that I don't own a barge pole, or a barge for that matter.
Food match: Don't drink this beer unless you are eating food with ghost chillies and need cold liquid handy and this is the only thing that is available in a 50 mile vicinity.

Pours a half-finger head - pale gold (or dark straw) body.
Yeast driven driven aromas - with some old socks thrown in. Orange in the mix.
Taste is very yeast driven, some orange, wheat, bready malts.
Mouthfeel OK and crsip. Nicely carbonated.
All in all - one wonders why Dannos chose this beer to bring in to Aus? Not bad, but not not great.

Pale gold color with a sudsy top, held short from an overpour. 3.5
Wheat malts, big coriander notes, sliced orange, and grassy hops. 4.0
Lovely hoppy pale whaet with big coriander and peppercorn notes. Very floral and spicy. Wheat malts flow beneath orange peel sweetness with some delightful smacks of tartness. Bitter finish. Great overall profile; imbalanced in the best possible way. 4.0
Velvety smooth with a fierce carb crunch. Biting on the palate, yet silky on the tongue. This wheat beer has unreal body. Kickass feel. 4.5
Coronado, with the slam dunk! Top 5 APW for me. Great summer brewski. 4.0

On tap at Sawmill Tap Room on 4/28/12.
A - pale gold; thin lacing of white head; good retention
S - citrusy, coriander, orange, lemon
T - yeast, lemon, straw
M - light bodied, smooth, little carbonation
This was a rather mediocre offering. The flavor was rather mild and simple. Ultimately, it's forgettable.

22oz. bomber. This one is actually labelled "Orange Avenue Wit" with an abv of 5.2%. Poured into a pint glass.
Frothy white head that collapses quickly. Pale, slightly cloudy yellow color with some spotty lacing. A bit lacking.
Some very mild orange aromas.
Opens sweet. Orange zest, sugar, and wheat beer flavors do come through. Sweet tarts without the tartness. Finish is filmy and spicy. Not much going on here. Clean though.
Light bodied with moderate carbonation. Watery and bubbly in the mouth and quenching going down. Mellow finish with a slightly lingering aftertaste. Pretty drinkable.
A decent beer though not one that really sets itself apart in any way. Worth trying, especially on a hot summer day.

Warm and tasty light beer. Pale amber in the tall glass. They like to call it a Wit but it's clearly the American wheat with a little flavoring. Hoppier than a lot of examples of the style. It would be a great alternative to a pale ale. Still, it's a slightly sweet and rather malty wheat beer. Quite a nice toasted flavor with a little scorched toast flavor. Bitter orange peel in the long aftertaste. Nose of orange blossom honey.
On tap at El Take it Easy on 30th St. in San Diego. Great with the crispy rabbit liver tacos.

I'm confused by this one. It pours a cloudy light straw colored. I was excited to try this one. I love wheat beers, but this was one of the blandest I've tried. No sweetness no nothing, not very flavorful at all. If you're gonna drink this you might as well have a generic light beer.

On tap at Max's today. The beer menu lists it as a wit, but I think pale wheat ale is more accurate.
The beer pours a pale gold color with so-so head retention and OK lacing (probably fine for the style, but not a whole lot there). The nose is very light and very "wheaty," with maybe a hint of underlying spice and bitterness. The beer is a bit better on the palate, but not a lot better. In addition to the wheat, there is a hint of orange citrus and light honey. Mouthfeel is light, and the beer shows a touch of bitterness on the finish. The beer has a surprisingly decent amount of flavor (even if what's there is fairly simple and one dimensional), and so drinkability is actually pretty decent.
Mehhh... I've had worse, but this is nothing to get excited about. Just another american style wheat beer that shows a bit of hoppy bitterness on the finish.

Picked up a bomber at Total Wine and More back in late September for $3.99.
Beer poured pale gold with a decent head at the start. Nose is classic wit, hints of orange peel and coriander greet you. Taste is slighty bitter from the coriander and orange peel. Mouthfeel is lively on the palate and refreshing. Drinkability is pretty good. This is a nice beer that is perfect to accomodate working outside on a hot August day.
