Appearance: amber in color with a 1" head that lingers around a while.
Smell: earthy tones with some caramel are all you can detect.
Taste: caramel, bread, orange, some earthy bitterness. a hint of nuts, and a fruity sweetness.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Lightly crisp throughout.
Overall: a moderately bitter red ale that hits the spot while looking for a red ale.

Fairly decent IPA. If they called it a Red/Amber Ale it would have rated even higher!!!! Pours a crystal clear Reddish Amber color with a good, medium size slightly off white head. Head retention is good and there is plenty of frothy, patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma is slightly sweet caramel malt and fairly decent hops bitterness. Taste is pretty good. There is a decent balance between the sweet malt and some citrus hops. Mouthfeel is light, crisp and has a decent amount of bitterness. It is all in the labeling - would have been an excellent Red Ale but still an OK IPA.

Nice color and good lacing on my glass, but this is about the taste. The other reviewers got this right. For an airport beer (Charlotte) this is pretty good, but if your looking for an IPA, you can do better. Yes I'll have another here at the Carolina Beer Co in CLT, but only because the options are Goose Island and I just can't support fake craft.

On tap at Growler Grlz in Durham. Cloudy and dark orange, like a New England IPA.

part of a flight at The Casual Pint in Knoxville, TN
looks decent, nice amber colored body. Slightly off white head which fades rather quickly to a faint covering. not much lacing to speak of.
Did get some hops on the nose, but only faintly.
Taste is very light. hops do come through, but muted. Feel and mouth are also a little on the light side.
Not an an unpleasant brew at all, just doesn't seem to have a whole lot going for it.
