Served in a traditional pint glass (16oz).
A - Dark amber color edging towards a brownish hue. Literally no head on this beer.
S - There is a sweet malt smell up front; a deeper sniff is required to get the hops of this one which are a deeply hidden floral character to me. The malt and the hops really battle and almost cancel one another out.
T - The first taste to me is the caramel sweet of the malt.I got almost no hops initially which was surprising. The hops do come out at the back end, rather abruptly. They are somewhat harsh and leave a strong aftertaste.
M - Very thin on the tongue and underwhelming. Carbonation is noticeably lacking. Not much alcohol flavor overall and the beer is just very watery.
O - I think the balance of the malt and hops is very lacking overall. They seem to be completely independent from one another with little to no interaction which take a lot away from the beer. The lack of head and carbonation may have been a problem with the draught, so I will give this one another go, but I was just a little underwhelmed overall.

Taster at brewery. Orange golden pour, hazy, small frothy off-white head. Aroma is hoppy, lots of citrus, oranges. Taste adds in some sweet malts, more sweet orange, citrus, zzesty.

Really good old school dipa. Love the tall boy. Try to get some whenever I visit the Williamsburg, VA area.

L: Had this beer on-tap at Growlers to Go - Short Pump, poured into a snifter glass. Had a golden yellow color and a mostly clear consistency. There was a half inch of creamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Above average lacing.
S: A good, but not spectacular, aroma of hops, malt, citrus fruit, and tropical fruit.
T: Tasted of a bit of citrus fruit (grapefruit), a surprising amount of malt (more than expected), lots of hops (the dominant force), and some tropical fruit (pineapple, in particular). A slightly out of balance flavor in some ways. It's a little overhopped, but there are definitely some good aspects here.
F: A well-carbonated beer with a slightly syrupy finish. Medium-bodied.
O: An uneven, but kind of interesting, beer. Worth a look.
