Straight pour from 330ml twist-off CLEAR GLASS bottle, nominally ergonomically shaped, to a large wineglass. Might as well help it out as much as I can, right? Freshness date of September 25, 2012 clearly printed in black ink on the shoulder of the bottle, below the wraparound label (“250912 JA14:21”).

Appearance (2.0): The body is crystal clear, and sunshine-y yellow-gold. The head, when it existed, was maybe a quarter inch of fizzy white bubbles, but it morphed into a very thin ring on the edge of the glass quickly. No lacing to speak of, a couple spots. Color’s nice, anyway.

Smell (2.0): Minimal. Cooked corn on ice. Some water crackers, maybe. Not much going on here, but it’s relatively inoffensive.

Taste (2.0): Cooked vegetables really do come out first thing: frozen, thawed, and cooked corn and lima beans, actually—seems odd I actually picked out lima beans, but there you go. A generic, crisp bitterness finishes on the back end, which is actually not that bad. But the malt body is just . . . not good. Actually has a mildly sour finish from those adjuncts.

Mouthfeel (2.0): Light, certainly, and quenching. The carbonation is okay—a lot like the head, it fizzes quickly and then dies out, leaving a hole where there should be some action. No puns, gentle(wo)men. It’s just an actionless hole.

Overall (2.0): 2.0’s across the board, and that seems fitting. It’s Not good in any way. Very little of it is downright offensive, minus parts of the taste, but that’s balanced out by some decent, if low-key, bitterness. Overall though, this beer is one that’s just adjuncted to hell. Does its job, especially on a hot day, being crisp and light and bubbly, but that's all it does—do not expect any more from it.

Skol Beats comes in a neat funky bottle....good marketing ploy to try the beer. As with most American Adjunct Lagers this was golden clear in color with decent carbonation that provided a foamy head to start which dissapated quickly. The smell and taste was powered by grain and some malt/hop. It is a smooth easy drinking beer that is not exotic in taste, but not bad either. Worth a try to say you did...I suppose.

Beacuse I´m going to a friend´s churrasco in a couple hours and expect nothing but Skol to be drunk with it, I need to adjust my expectations. And what better way to do it than with Skol Beats? Bizarre-shaped 330 ml bottle, on to the beer:

Pale yellow color. It´s nearly still in appearance, and the head drops to only a thin lace around the glass. Things don´t get better as I smell it. It´s too hevay on the cooked corn aroma, and it also smells like turkey (don´t ask me why). Regardless, it´s not the smell I want from a beer.

Fortunately, it doesn´t taste as bad as it smells. But, that doesn´t mean that it tastes good. Damaged hops (c´mon , who didn´t see that coming) and a boiled corn flavor doesn´t make me a happy camper. It seems a little cleaner than orginal Skol. It reminds me of a Corona, but in a bizarre bottle. The body is fizzy, and I have no plans on finishing the bottle. Stay away.

The pretty bottle, with a singular shape, is the best part of this beer.
The content, is a pale commercial lager with a little higher extract concentration (OG ~12°Plato), and the use of special hops to avoid skunky flavours. Can be compared with similar commercial lagers like brazilians Miller Draft or Kaiser Summer Draft

It comes in a cool clear embossed bottle (Skol Beats).
Pours a pale yellow color with a thin white head and specks of trailing and fading lacing.
There's a mild smell of cut grass and just a faint whiff of cut husk.
A really thin grainy malt has a bit of sugary sweetness.
It's mildly hopped (think Coors Light), with a light back of the throat harshness.
Finishes clean.

This seems to be Skol´s attempt to corner the younger crowd. The bottle is clear glass and shaped in an unusual manner. The beer actually pours a golden hue with a small foam head which got my hopes up, but the smell let me know that this wouldn´t be anything special. Smell and taste were basically water-like with a hint of adjuncts and absolutely no hint of hops. Very standard Brazilian lager. They´re all starting to taste too familiar...
