Voraciously hoppy and not overly bitter. The Kind brings enormous aroma and maximum flavor. It's like taking a walk through a pine forest and ending up at a citrus farm. This beer brings joy to the world, one sip at a time.

A: This poured a clear gold with a little white head.
S: It smelled like faint copper hops and earthy bread crust malt.
T: It tasted like copper and bitter resin hops, with some earthy bread crust malt. It had a building bitter aftertaste that was somewhat clean.
M: It was watery with moderate carbonation. Ok body.
D: This wasn't a great IPA, probably below average in today's market. The scent was barely there, the taste wasn't very enjoyable, the body was fairly weak, and the finish was a little harsh. So all in all, not very easy to drink, and not recommended.

I'm sorry but thia was a bad beer in ever aspect.
Perhaps it's old. Bought at the wegmans and never seen it before so I gave it a shot.
There was no bottle date. So I'm fairly certain it's old.
The color was light amber with a soapy head no carbs.
Aroma was typicial of old IPA's malty. Not a hop to be seen I,m afraid.
Taste was the same malty no hops, maybe even style.
This was my first from THB so I can't judge perhaps it was just a bad brew.

A kind ipa indeed. Smooth and calm hop tones that set a nice consistent profile. At first I thought it was dropping off quickly, but I think the subtlety of it has to be given time to adjust to, since my palate is probably waiting for a hop bomb to hit. Smooth feel, which is the word on this beer. I like a lot

The beer is golden hued with a small white head. The aroma brings tropical citrus, hops. Very nice. The flavor imparts citrus, hops, mild alcohol and a touch of lemongrass. Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Pretty tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A: Pours a golden yellow color with slightly less than a fingers worth of head that reduces to a thin cap
S: Citrus and pine hops come through, along with a good helping of slightly spicy malts
T: Follows the nose. Refreshing citrus fruitiness and pine come through for the hops, followed by some bready malts and a hint of spiciness. Finishes lightly bitter
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. A hint of oiliness and stickiness from the hops
O: A nice, simple IPA that isn't in your face or overwhelmingly hoppy but still has a good hop kick flavor and aroma-wise. Worth a purchase

LOOK: Copper colored, very clear, decent lasting head, appears fairly well carbonated, appears fairly thick.
SMELL: Strong grapefruit. A bit of dank. A bit piney, a bit lemony,
TASTE: Fairly typical IPA, bitter grapefruit, again a bit of dankness, catty, pine. A lot like the aroma. The malt playing a bit of a role, just a bit of sweetness at the end tempers the bitterness a little bit. I don't find this particularly complex or unique, not bad, just nothing great.
FEEL: Fairly heavy mouthfeel for an IPA, a little slick, maybe from alcohol? A bit prickly. Dry from hops, but everything else is a bit too heavy.
OVERALL: Again, not bad, nothing special, a little drier would have been nicer, some more flavor to balance bitterness and more interesting hop flavor other than grapefruit would have been nice as well.

Pours a nice, bright blonde color with a super thin head into my glass. Another IPA that fits the definition of PALE perfectly.
Lots of grassy hops with a mild bitterness that tickles the nose in a subtle manner. Maybe a bit of buttery malt too.
Grassy hops with a touch of citrus. Juicy. Chewy. Bitter. Wow. Flavor crystal explosion in mouth!!
Lingering buttery malt and grassy hop bitterness comprise the mouthfeel. Very clean for the style.
A very good IPA. You won't be shocked at the bitterness.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly cloudy golden amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of orange zest, tangerine, grapefruit, citrus rind, floral, grass, pine, bread, and light herbal. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of hop notes. Taste of orange zest, grapefruit, pine, floral, citrus rind, grass, bread, and herbal earthiness. Good amount of grassy pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus rind, pine, floral, grass, bread, and herbal on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance of hop flavors with decent complexity; good malt/hop balance; and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a lightly creamy and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very good IPA. Nice balance of hop flavors with good complexity; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

pale semi hazed golden color. had to force a sticky bubbly head with a vigorous pour. sweet sugared fruit nose with a lot of pine as well.
off the bat bitter citrus rinds and burnt toast rolls into big piney dryness which then goes into an herbal and fruity juicyness. pine bitterness lingers drying the mouth. a very complex ipa. the flavors get a little lost amongst each other here and there but mostly its a fun complex layered brew.

Served this 22 oz. bottle in a Sam Adams glass. No date. The body was a clear, deep straw color with a huge off white head. It took four pours to empty the bottle into the glass. The head was soapy, frothy and off white. Some solid lacing remained.
The smell was earthy with a hint of plastic. Muted pine. A disappointment. Too phenolic.
The taste was sharp and husky. There was a gentle lingering grassy bitterness. Probably past its prime and maybe infected too? Not sure what the problem is but it is not good.
The mouthfeel was thinner than expected and very effervescent. Overcarbonated. This is not one I would look for unless I knew it was fresh.

22oz bottle purchased as a single from Savemore Discount Beverage, Clifton Park, NY.
Poured into am imperial pint, formed a 1/4" eggshell head over the cloudy orangey amber brew. Head promptly down to a skim, with average lacing. Aroma is juicy citrus.
Taste sweet to start, orange citrus in the middle, pine bitter taking over the close. Mouthfeel is pretty smooth, with good drinkability. Good brew.

Served in a Lagunitas mason jar.
Thanks to Vav for this bottle!
Also, sorry about that other bottle, my man... On to business: This stuff pours a clear brass topped by a finger of lightly off-cream-white foam. The nose comprises orange rind, fluffy toffee, earthy greens, and a touch of lemongrass. The taste brings in more of the same, but with brighter orange and a hint of oak bark. The additions really help to round things out. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a generally fluid feel. Overall, a pretty nice IPA, one I could easily see having again, though not necessarily with any intense enthusiasm.

Pours a lightly hazy orange-ish to yellow color with a white head. In the aroma, mellow citrus hops. In the taste, a dry orange citrus hop, and somewhat gritty malt. A pleasant hop bite and a medium bodied mouthfeel, with a dry hop and small orange citrus presence in the aftertaste. Just decent across the board, nothing bad, but nothing spectacular either.

22 oz bottle was poured into an imperial pint glass.
Appearance: This beer poured a minimal head that has reduced to a thin layer. It is yellow orange color with good clarity and bubbles coming up through the glass. Spotty lacing on the glass as the beer was drank.
Smell: Caramel and bready malts, followed by some citrus, grapefruit, and pine aromas.
Taste: All the above mentioned flavors balanced well together with some lingering bitterness. I was kind of expecting more of a hop profile and sweetness to the beer. Interesting, but a bit light on the flavors and the bitterness lingers for a while.
Mouthfeel: smooth, medium bodied, low to medium carbonation, some lingering bitterness, a quite enjoyable.
Overall: A good IPA in my opinion. Enjoyed more on draft than in a bottle. Still a very enjoyable beer though

$8.25 bomber from Abe's.
Somewhat hazy golden body with orange highlights. Two level fingers of snow white foam.
Enticing pine and citrus aroma. Very inviting.
Quick burst of sweetness at the beginning. A little too sweet, could use a bit more depth to semi- sweet. Then big juicy fruit, plenty of citrus fills the mouth.good dose of pine too. Bitter bite at the swallow. Pine carries on in the afterglow.
Sturdy medium mouthfeel.
A solid IPA. Good first experience with this brewery.

Had this beer a couple of months ago when it had just been bottled, and it was super piney, fresh, and resiny. Really enjoyed it. Had a bottle from the same batch last night, and the orange and citrus came out a lot more. The pine had really mellowed out. I enjoyed it even more the second time around. A little extra time in the bottle helped balance out the flavors nicely. Well made beer.

A: The beer is clear yellowish orange in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high white head that died down a little but consistently left a thin head covering the surface and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: There are light to moderate aromas of citrusy hops in the nose along with some hints of pine resin.
T: Like the smell, the taste is dominated by the hops with flavors of citrus and hints of pine resin. The citrus hops are a nice blend of grapefruit, lemon and orange. Surprisingly, there is only a light to moderate amount of associated bitterness.
M: It feels a bit shy of medium-bodied and somewhat crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I enjoyed this IPA because it has a lot of hop aromas and flavors but is quite easy to drink because it doesn’t have an “in your face” level of bitterness.

Poured into a snifter.
Pours roughly amber, with just a touch of cloudiness, and a thin head. Minor lacing throughout.
The aroma is fairly generic, and smells somewhat bready. There's a touch of hop, but when it all comes together is smells a bit like a musty old pub.
The flavor is average at best for an IPA. The flavors are mostly mild. The label advertises that the beer is "like taking a walk through a pine forest and ending up at a citrus farm." Too bad this one is mostly melony and boozy, with just enough onion in the finish to wipe away any lingering pleasantness. There is very little sweetness to accompany, which one might think implies over-the-top bitterness. But this beer leaves that door open and never goes in.
The beer finishes oniony and leaves a bit of bitterness on the tongue. Mild, but not necessarily overly pleasant.
This brew reminds me of a homebrew version of another Northeast IPA, Stowaway. But Stowaway brings some malt for sweetness, has a much better body, brings cleaner flavors, and comes in a handy can to boot. Skip this chump and get Baxter's Stowaway if they're side-by-side, and you can enjoy this particular flavor profile in style.

22 ounce bottle with no date
A - golden amber with small particulate matter floating around. A three finger head of foam that lasts with heavy lacing.
S - earthy pine resins and dull grapefruit overtones. Nothing is sharp and biting but you know there is a glass full of wet hops under your nose.
T - resinous hops dominate throughout from start to finish. Earthy and heavy hops without any crisp biting character.
M - oily, resinous, and mildly carbonated yielding a heavy feeling slow moving stickiness.
D - a bit one dimensional but if you want pine tar hops then this one is for you.

22oz bottle (purchased at County Wide in Valley Stream for $5.99) served in a standard pint glass.
L - slightly hazed golden yellow with a white head that thinned out leaving trails of lacing.
S - mix of pine and citrus with a bready malt background.
T - same as the smell with a hint of alcohol showing up towards the bitter finish.
F - medium bodied with good carbonation and a crisp, dry feel making you want another sip.
O - a decent example of the style.

22oz Bottle from the Sunoco Colton NY for 7.99+tax
Appearance - Clear amber/copper colour with an average size fizzy beige coloured head. There is a high amount of carbonation and there is some faint lacing. The head lasted for around 2-3 minutes.
Smell - Malts, caramel, hops, grapefruit
Taste & Mouth - There is a below average amount of carbonation and I can taste hops, malts, pine, and caramel. There is also some pineapple mixed with guava and some grapefruit. It ends with a malty sweet aftertaste with a bit of of a lingering hop bitterness.
Overall - Good.. not great.. The mouthfeel seems off and the beer tastes a little artificial. For the price I expected more.. Still worth a try - just not a re-buy for me. It did get better as it approached room temperature..

Bottle: Poured an amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus and piney notes is quite dominant with some semi-sweet caramel malt notes also distinguishable. Taste is also a balanced mix between some citrus and piney notes with some residual sugar and caramelized malt also noticeable. Body is quite full with good carbonation. More floral hoppy notes would have helped provided further enjoyment of this beer.

Been wanting to try this brewery for a while, found this bomber at A&R Beverage in Seaford, NY. Will set ya back $8.99 a pop; not exactly a bargain. It does however feature some a pretty groovy bottle label (what more does one need than beer and music?), however no bottling date that I can find.
Into a pint, appears sunshine, golden orange with decent lagcing and a tad bit of head. Nothing out of the ordinary here.
Nose is dank and wet, aromas of pine and resinous hops. Slight acidic tones, without a whole lot of malt presence that I can pick up on.
Taste doesn't quite live up to the nose. Delvers a subtle bitterness, heavy on pine and grapefruit rind. Again, I can't find a whole lot of malt presence, which I consider to be a good thing in IPAs. Hops do seem like they have died down a bit though.
Drinks rather light, dangerous in the summer, I can throw several of these back rather easily. 6.8% is negligible.
One of the better east-coast IPAs I've had the pleasure of enjoying, albeit a bit expensive. I'd recommend trying it, but I don't know if I'll pick up another bottle when I can get a whole sixer of Flower Power for just a couple bucks more. Still, really happy to have tried and a brewery to definitely keep an eye one. Cheers!

22oz bottle served in a pint glass.
pours a slightly cloudy, dull golden-yellow tone while yielding a 1" foamy, off-white head. decent retention and some swaths of lace. nice aroma offers notes of pine and citric hops with a not especially aromatic but a most of the qualities i look for in my IPAs are covered.
flavor doesn't quite live up to the nose. notes of pine and citrus pull through along with a perceptible though unobtrusive malt backbone. that said, something gets lost in translation and the taste doesn't quite follow through, plus there's a slight metallic quality. opens a bit on the sweet side and finishes more bitter. medium-bodied mouthfeel with average carbonation.
overall, a solid, drinkable, moderately above-average IPA; nothing more, nothing less.

Clear light bronze color. Good head and great bubbling.
Citric orange hop aroma with a little bite. Maybe a little toasted cracker malt aroma, but mostly hops.
Sharp, orange and grapefruit zest. Tinny palate from the "voracious" hops. Good bitterness overall, but hard to pcik out much malt flavors. Maybe some Wonderbread crust, thats about it. The finish feels watery and tinny.
