Ureich Premium Beer has a thick, white head and a slightly cloudy golden-yellow appearance, with moderate carbonation. The aroma is faint, but barley can be picked up. Taste is mostly barley, but some hop spice is present, to balance the flavor. Mouth-feel is medium, and Ureich finishes refreshing and less dry than American-style lagers. Although the beer is somewhat unusual in taste and body, I did enjoy it and appreciated drinking something a little different.

Review from BeerAdvocate Magazine Issue #38 (Mar 2010):
A green bottle full of German Purity Law liquid. OK ...
Decent lacing, decent clarity ... decent appearance, being yellowish and all. Typical green-bottled lager aroma, cooked veggies (sweet corn) and some cabbage-like hops. Crisp, lightish body, astringent hops and malt to start off ... nothing over the top, but a bit thick on the palate to know that the taste buds are getting dragged that way. Weak lemony hop is killed by the astringency. Very hard to put down. Lots of dried grassy flavors in the end ... not so palatable.
Giving the German Purity Law a bad rap since 1516 ... really, come on! Considering what Germany has to offer, this is clearly one of the poorer examples being sent to the US.

Had this beer on tap in a hotel in Germany. Drank it in the original glass, which is very nice shaped like a curved cowhorn.
This is also a typical German Rheinheitsgebot beer. A good pilsener with very low cabonation and a nice mouthfeel. The hop was pretty noticable.

Light straw yellow color, greenish edges. White and compact foam, decent. Almost no visible carbonation, just a thin central line.
Quite light smell, malty based, light.
Almost no hop here.
Abit of hop in the taste, with the malt. Nothing to talk about.
Quite drinkable, but no personality. Not bad, too.
Quite thin body, as the aftertaste.
