Deep golden pour with quickly fading head and not much lacing. Lots of malt on the nose with hints of carmel. Started off a bit harsh but mellowed after that. Lots of bready malt with an undertone of butterscotch. Subdued hop bitterness that's secondary to the almost syrupy sweetness of the malts. Reminded me of the typical German export beer more so than a Märzen. Drinkability suffers because of the sweetness for me.

Nice, rich flavor on this seasonal beer. Pours a deep copper color with sticky foam. Aroma of burnt toast and caramel. Taste of toffee. Too bad winter is only 1/4 of the year...

.5 liter bottle drunk from a .5 liter seidel from a bottle purchased at Rewe (grocery chain)

A decent example of German Winter/Weihnachts beer, though certainly not my favorite. Schwaben Brau has this one beat.

Color was a nice amber/red pretty much what you'd expect from a German winter beer. About an inch of head that quickly dissapated.

Smell was malty, with a very light sort of candy quality.

Taste was mild malt with an even milder hop finish. No real complexity.

This beer isn't going to offend anyone, but it's not really going to thrill either.

Perfectly acceptable, but not one I would continue to actively seek.

Poured from a .5L bottle to a pint glass the liquid is a light gold copper with good carbonation. The head is 2 fingers light and leaves some lace.

The smell is nutty malt and light hops.

The taste is good, a nice rich nutty and bread like malt and a hopy finish crisp like a pils.

The mouthfeel is medium body nice carbonation.

The drinkability is good, the brew is closer to a pils side of a marzen then either a hell or dunkle

This beer is richly carbonated with a decent amount of light white head. It dissipates to nothing very quickly, though. The body is ultra clear and is a copper gold in color.

This is not extremely aromatic. I detect a faint hint of apples and hay like characteristics.

This so called "Winterbier", is much tastier than it smells. It has an apple and plum like taste, all mixed in with bread pudding.

This is very smooth and easy to drink, but not anything very exciting.
