A: The beer is hazy yellowish amber in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down, leaving a collar around the edge and some lacing on the surface.
S: Faint aromas of grassy hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste is similar to the smell but also has some hints of bready and grainy malts.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate with a low to moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer seems to taste a little like an ae and has some hints of fruity yeast. It's not very flavorful but is easy to drink.

A: Pours a hazy dark golden yellow to pale orange in color with some light to moderate amounts of visible carbonation and some golden orange highlights. The beer has a finger tall sudsy light beige head that quickly reduces to a very thin film covering the majority of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Light aromas of sweet bready/grainy malts with lighter aromas of grassy/spicy/earthy hops.
T: Upfront there is a light to moderate amount of bready and grainy malts that are lightly sweet. That is followed by moderate flavors of grassy, spicy, and earthy hops which contribute a light to moderate amount of bitterness which lingers slightly.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly chewy.
O: Interesting, tastes more like an ale than a lager but still an enjoyable brew. Slightly more hopped up that we often get in the pilsener style but still worth enjoying.

A clear, bright gold, Low Life's pure white head reaches a finger and sits fluffy on top, fading after time to a creamy foam and depositing nicely thick patching as it goes.
The smell is soft but nice, very bright and clean, with plenty of Saaz hops, though it seems to be hopped more to the Czech than the German standard. Still, it's not too soft.
The taste is the same, with a gentle malty sweetness up front and a base consisting of floral and lightly herbal hops bitterness. Dryness from a grassier character comes out underneath.
Light, crisp and refreshing, as one would hope for with this style, it's nonetheless consistent and deep. The carbonation is a bit high, but it doesn't overwhelm too much.

Poured into a Schaumburger pilsner glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a nice two finger white head with active carbonation. Aroma of biscuit malt with a light fruitiness. Flavor follows aroma with biscuit malt and grassy earthy hops. The hop component is much more dominated by dry herbal elements than hop bitterness or the bright herbal hopping of American IPAs. Medium bodied with pleasant carbonation. An interesting take on a the classic German style, with the dry grassiness of the hops perhaps a bit over-presented. Still enjoyable to drink and distinctly flavored while fitting within the style.

Served from bottle into a Mikkeller oversized wine glass (semi-proper!). Poured a hazy yellow-orange with a half finger white head that subsided to a minimal amount quickly. Maintained phenomenal lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, earth, fruit, spices, and grain. The flavor was of sweet malt, earth, earth hop, fruit, spice, grain, rye, and wheat. It had a light feel on the palate with high carbonation. Overall this was a decent brew. Upon first inspection of the nose on this one I really wasn’t expecting too much if I’m honest. There was a very substantial earthiness going on which was a little overwhelming. However, the flavor was a good bit better with a nice kiss of fruit taking place. This kept some of the earthiness at bay and helped to balance it out. Worth trying if you get the chance to do so.

I got a bottle at Beer Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
A. It has a clear gold color with some bubbles rising up throughout. It has a foamy white head that leaves some lacing.
S. It has a very mild malt scent to it.
T. This has a nice dark fruit taste, a kind of grape taste. There's a mild hop flavor underneath. It is quite sweet with a nice crisp aftertaste.
M. Crisp and refreshing, mild body.
O. The low life has unassuming taste. Some people may not like it because it isn't exactly flavorful, but this is really balanced and it has a good, clean taste.

The beer has a golden color.
The aroma has some great pilsner characteristics with grassy hops, floral aromas, and some cracker malt.
The flavor has a good malty body, but then it assaults you with a citrus and herbal bitterness. It really is quite bitter for a pilsner. The flavor is really exciting with that surprisingly hop profile.
Not my favorite pilsner as it lacks some complexity, but the hop profile is surely a highlight.

$8 for a 12oz pour. Evil Twin, this better be good. Served in tulip. Poured a mildly hazy, bright yellow color with over an inch of white head (which means I actually got about 9oz for my eight clams) that had moderate retention and lacing.
The aroma was almost exactly typical, some mild, earthy grains, and a gentle dose of of soft hops. The taste was the same, perhaps even a bit on the bland side of typical, and in all honesty, a brewery down the street from me (Chuckanut) makes a far superior example of the style.
The body was on the full side of average for the style, a bit sticky and sweet, especially on the finish. Drinkability was decent enough, but not good enough to make me want another. Overall, because of the low value, I can't recommend you spend your own money on this beer. If you can get someone to buy it for you, go ahead and tick it, otherwise, avoid.

Driving home the sane and sensible approach of Lager brewing, Evil Twin jumps aboard the most popular genre of beer, but does so the craft beer kinda way...
Opening with a lightly hazed, and firmly capped head- the ale pours deeply golden with highlights of straw, amber, and mild copper. Its diffused color is a testament to traditional "Kellerbiers" but its hoppy haze sings more common demeanor.
Starting herbal, floral, and grainy-sweet- its initial aromas are earthy, stemmy and acidic with lemon and citrus peels. Lovin' where the scent goes- its the taste of dry cracker malts, supportive grain sweetness and the necessary hop spiciness.
Tasting decidedly malty yet dry, yet its the flavor of dry doughy malts, quivering bodies, and a rise of citrus onslaught that gives the taste a zesty, fresh, and refreshing taste. Its balance is herbal, bitter, and decisive with dry cracker components. Its a delicious taste that evades complication, and prefers a simplistic palate that's the ideal dialogue between malt and hops.
Medium-light in body, the ale is creamy and semi-light to start but a quivering middle and a substantially dry late palate ensures drinkability and lightened sensibilities.
Low Life is a fantastic Lager that's brewed in true Germanic fashion but uses stylistic liberties by Evil Twin to provide an effortless session.

Pours gold with a small, fading white head.
Delicate aroma, some spicy and herbal hops and cereal grains.
Flavours are the same - boring cereal grains and spicy hops, with little else to back things up.
Carbonation is too high.
Not impressive....
