A: Pours a hazy golden amber in color with some light to moderate amounts of visible carbonation and some dark orange highlights. The beer has finger tall foamy/sudsy beige head that slowly reduces to a thick film covering the entire surface of the beer and a slightly thicker ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of caramel malts with slightly lesser aromas of citrus/grapefruit rind and pine/resin hops.

T: Upfront there are slightly stronger than moderate amounts of caramel malts with a light to moderate amount of sweetness. That is followed by some light amounts of earthy yeast and moderate flavors of pine/resin hops and citrus/grapefruit rind. Moderate amounts of lingering bitterness.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp upfront. Light amounts of alcohol warming in the finish.

O: Slightly heavier than I expected for the style which makes it a little tougher to drink - not quite as easy as some others. Also, the bitterness is a little stronger than I prefer and the hop flavors are a little too dank for me.

A: The beer is very hazy yellowish amber in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high beige head that died down, consistently leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and lots of lacy webbing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of caramel malts are present in the nose along with some hints of citrusy and pine resin hops.
T: Like the smell, the taste has flavors of caramel malts along with citrus and pine resin hops as well as some hints of earthy yeast. While there are some initial hints of malty sweetness, a light to moderate amount of bitterness is present throughout the taste. Hints of alcohol are also present towards the finish.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a little crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation. The alcohol contributes some hints of warming.
O: This beer has a good balance between the malts and hops. It's not that difficult to drink, although it is hind of heavy on the palate to have more than one in a single sitting.

Cloudy, orange-dark amber color. Starts with a two-finger head. Settles slowly. Leaves some streaky web lace.

Smell: Very nice blend of alcohol, pale malt and mild citrus hop.

More bitter than the smell suggests. And the alcohol is more muted. The body is reasonably full and the carbonation is above average. The aftertaste is raw hop bitterness. Slightly warming. Not an over-the-top IPA, which I guess is why it's called "All Occasions".

I think this is a very good cross-over IPA to DIPA.

Pours very cloudy orange gold color with a big foamy 2 finger off white head that was very thick and looked like a cloud, dissipating very slowly and barely moving as it went down. The head had a ton of bubbles in it and left a foamy layer on top and good spotty lacing.

Smells very herbal, like floral hops, tea leaf, mint, piney hops, grapefruit, pineapple, grapes, biscuit, wheat bread, caramel, malt and grains. The initial herbal hop aroma gives way to malt and grains, balancing out quite well and coming off as tame for a DIPA.

Tastes of floral hops and piney hops up front, followed by herbs like tea leaf, mint, grass, grapefruit, pineapple, orange peel, grapes, biscuit, wheat bread, caramel, strong malt, grains, and fruits like apple or pear. The hops start strong but then fade as the malt charges forward, and this ends up tasting like Razzles or Skittles were dropped into an American lager. This is not a hop bomb, but very tasty and interesting in its composition. The more I drank it and the warmer it got, the better it got. It masks the ABV almost to perfection.

Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth, with a medium chewy body, average carbonation, and a bitter herbal finish that has a bready taste like a lot of yeast is in the mix.

Not your typical DIPA as the hops were not obnoxiously aggressive, but there was an element of fun and confusion which added to the overall experience of this beer as the flavors got better and expanded as it warmed up. I liked this and would definitely have it again (if I can find it) because it tasted good and was very easy to drink. It didn’t blow me away, but it was so smooth that it scores extra points for being an “All Occasions” beer.

Chilled, from a DeCicco's growler, this DIPA shows a deep rusty amber
color with a modest collection of off-white bubbles on top and decent lacing.
The aroma offers a sort of peachy tropical fruit medley including apricot hop.
Very distinctive and includes a sort of lemon tea sweetness. Likeable for sure.
The flavor follows with more grain profile full of rye malt, grass hops and a
sort of Belgian yeast bite. There's more of the tropical fruit idea again but
it's very muted in the flavor and the theme turns more to the green bitterness
with wheat and grassy grain. It's medium bodied with very weak carbonation and a
slightly aqueous feel.

2012 bottle poured in FSW Tulip glass.

A: Pours a hazy golden; 1 to 1.5 finger fluffy white head.

S: Bready, malty aroma mixed with some grapefruit and pine. Not the pine bomb that is typical of a West Coast IPA.

T: More malt forward, with some crisp pine flavor. Bready aroma comes into the taste as well. Well balanced but malty than IPAs I've been drinking lately. Welcomed change.

M: Medium bodied, crisp like I can crack it. Carbonation is evident, had to swirl it around in the glass a bit to release some of that and calm it down. Someone describe it as prickly dry finish, and I think that's spot on.

O: Very solid IPA, more an an example of the style leaning towards East Coast style than anything that really stands out. Would drink again.

330ml bottle poured into tulip 14/1/13

A slight haze in a golden orange body, thumbs width of foam falls after a few sips and leaves partial rings with each one

S some mango, pine and caramels work well with some floral and herbal hops with some faint booze

T faint bread and more pine, there's more fruit then mango but I can't quite place it, lots of rind but again hard to distinguish, lime, lemon, grapefruit? it could go in any direction, either way its a pretty tasty IPA

M bitter and gritty, with some body, aftertaste lingers for ages, just a little booze on the way down

O solid DIPA going on here, nothing to set it apart from "good" brews but its a good example of the style

another well rounded DIPA that I'd drink again, good but not great try it if you get the chance

330ml bottle. The label details a rather humorous rejoinder to the brewer's famous brother's Christmas ale (one of them, anyway). I'm not waiting for the occasion of my firstborn for this, so here goes.

This beer pours a hazy medium golden amber colour, with two fingers of densely foamy, kind of bubbly, caked off-white head, which leaves some nicely ghoulish Swiss cheese patterned lace around the glass as it slowly and evenly abates.

It smells of bitter white grapefruit, orange, and kiwi rind, a hearty dose of pine resin, and hefty caramel, biscuit, and bready malts, all underscored by a leafy, herbal liqueur warmth. The taste is pungently bitter, as the pine spruce tips, orange and grapefruit pith, and wild grass essences rush to the front, only to slowly give way to a cradling bready caramel malt backbone, some further herbal, leafy hops, and a touch of metallic alcohol.

The bubbles are a tad peppy, but generally just worthy of Best Actor in a Supporting Role, the body an adequate medium weight, and mostly smooth, just an echo of hops and heat tugging at the edges. It finishes off-dry, the undeservedly second-fiddle malt now wielding some newfound power over those decidedly waning hops. Or maybe my bitterness receptors have just reset themselves.

A rather agreeable big-boy Imperial IPA, with an eventual nod to all things balanced, and well, repeatable. As the label goes on to say, it is Monday after all, and there's big fluffy flakes of snow lazily falling outside, so let us be thankful for the non-denominated sort of situations in life, shall we?

A: Poured from a bottle to a tulip glass. Had an orange color and a cloudy consistency. There was an inch of foamy head that lasted a fair amount of time. Below average lacing.

S: A good aroma of hops, malt, and fruity sweetness.

T: A lot of hops in this beer, but not an obnoxious level of them. A nice fruity element (grapefruit), along with pine, malt, and something sugary. A focused, well-balanced, smooth flavor.

M: A well-carbonated beer with a prickly finish. Medium-bodied.

O: While not exactly long on originality, this beer is very well made and extremely drinkable.

Served from bottle into a Mikkeller oversized wine glass (semi-proper!). Poured fluorescent yellow-orange with a one finger white head that subsided to a minimal amount very slowly. Maintained phenomenal lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, earth, earth hop, grain, medicinal, and metallic. The flavor was of sweet malt, fruit, pine, spice, spicy hop, fruit hop, and earth. It had a light feel on the palate with high carbonation. Overall this was a decent brew. This brew was another case of first inspecting the nose and not liking what I found really that much. The flavor was actually fairly decent though as it brought a decent bit of complexity to the party. This made it fairly easy to drink, but didn’t really make it stand out too much from other brews in the style. I wouldn’t mind having this one again, but it wouldn’t be my number one pick if other brews from the style were available.
