A - 4.0 - Black, with a small, dark, fizzy head that dissipates quickly.
S - 4.25 - Very nice. Kind of a smoky note with sweet chocolate
T - 4.25 - Very dry dark chocolate note, almost to a powdery degree. Substantial black malt char to give it backbone and bitterness, yet still nicely balanced against the chocolate. The smoky note almost reminds me of the smell of the initial fire of a smoke bomb from childhood, except an appetizing version of that. That's a little strange. Mild warm booze fumes waft up the throat after swallowing.
M - 4.25 - Somewhat heavy body, viscous.
O - 4.25 - Very enjoyable. Robust flavors, rich texture, mature composition. Very pricey even for a single 12-oz, but otherwise a real winner.

11.2 ounce bottle. Served in a DFH snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about a quarter inch tan head that fizzled away quickly. There's a good amount of lacing. Aroma is great, the brew smells like roasted malt, chocolate, molasses, and dark fruit. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also the addition of some vanilla, burnt/charred malt and some coffee. Nice mix of sweet and bitter flavors in this stout. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's thick and creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. Pretty good stout, I wish it came in a bomber because the small bottle left me wanting more of this brew. $7.99 a bottle.

330 mL bottle poured into a snifter.
Appearance - Inky black. Not much head. Thin mocha collar. Glass staining. Great body.
Smell - Molasses and bucket of black patent malt. Definite alcohol presence. Slightly fruity.
Taste - Sweet and boozy up front. Less roast. More caramel. Sharp alcohol bite in the finish. Some chocolate and alcohol blended together in the finish.
Mouthfeel - Boozy. Medium bodied. Slightly acidic.
Overall - I remember enjoying Even More Jesus a lot more than this. Missing some of the roast I remember.

Poured into a Cigar City snifter at Tryst in Delray Beach, FL.
A- Pours a totally opaque black color with pretty much no head, just some light brown bubbles and a thin ring around the edge of the glass. Tiny specs of lacing stick to the glass.
S- Just all dark roast and some booze. There's also a faint hoppiness detected with some short, sharp sniffs.
T- Incredibly smooth considering the ABV with notes of milk chocolate, vanilla and molasses. Some char comes through as the beer warms. Definitely a sipper but it could be drunk quickly if one has a palate for high gravity stouts. The hops also start to show up as the temp rises.
M- Unexpectedly thin with low carbonation and a hefty body.
O- Very straightforward and certainly worth the $17 for an 11.2 oz bottle. Evil Twin's beers may be pricey, but damn are they great.

I allowed this beer 1/2 an hour warming from fridge temp.
The beer pours a motor oil black with a thin blanketing of dark tan head that fades into a thin halo with modest lacing. The nose is very potent and distinct of slightly roasty malts, ethanol, coffee, and bitter chocolate. Seriously, it has a very pungent nose. The taste is relatively malty and sweet upfront with a pleasantly roasty, boozy afterburn. Honestly, I can't say I've had many imperial stouts quite like this beer. The mouthfeel is thick and malty, sweet, with a slight bitter chocolate roastiness in the finish. Pungent, interesting flavors and a big ethanol burn make this an evening sipper. I'm glad to try this beer and think it provides a relatively distinct alternative to most american made imperial stouts...although at a price.

11.2 oz bottle at about fridge temp poured into a snifter.
Pours out an oily thick midnight black color with a thin dark mocha colored head. The head doesn't really last, only keeping a thin ring around the edge, but some thick dark brown legs are left all over the sides of the glass after a swirl. Keywords: black, oily, thick.
Deeply charred, bitter roast, bitter dark dark chocolate, some warm booziness, almost port or bourbon like in a way, that seems to blend in so nicely, really compliments the beer, hints of chocolate cake and as it warms hints of dark fruits.
A really nice tasting impy stout. Burnt bitter roasted malt, bitter dark chocolate, sweet burnt sugar, dark caramel, chocolate brownies. nuances of tobacco, dark fruits. A bit of a warming effect that works well with the beer, but in no way is it overly boozey. Finishes with a really nice deep bitter dark chocolate flavor that really lingers and almost tastes like German chocolate cake at times. As it warms the chocolate flavors are just amazing. What a complex stout!
Amazing mouthfeel. Thick, sweet, oily, viscous, smooth and velvety. A lower carbonation which obviously works well.
Maybe one of the best non barrel aged stouts I've had, so I can only imagine how heavenly this would be in a barrel. It's hard to pick a better one between this and imp. biscotti break, I would almost say this is better, because although I love the coffee in biscotti, I'm not a huge fan of the toasted malt notes, where this is straight deep dark burnt roasted malt. Buy this if you can, well worth the cash.
