We crack the tab and pour a golden amber brew. It holds a one and a half finger tall head of creamy eggshell bubbles. This recedes on the quicker side, but it reproduced relatively easily. Dripping speckles of lacing are left all around the glass. There is a chill haze to it, with flecks of sediment suspended through the entire liquid. Carbonation appears light to moderate. The nose is bright with herbal and floral hop varietals, with a mixing bite of plastic phenols. The malts are deadly pale, with a creaminess and toasty breadiness to them. With warmth comes an additional creaminess of pureed bananas and strawberries, adding sweetness and fruitiness. Finally there is a hot pepper spiciness on the far back. Our first impression is that the beer is much more bitter than expected, with a spicy and muddy finish. As we sip, pale malts, floral hops, herbal hops, gritty yeastiness, mineral, and mud all start us off. That herbal bite enhances to the peak, giving more bittering hoppiness at the swallow, with puckered phenolic clove, and a boozy spike. Dirty grittiness carries us through the finish, with spicier black pepper booze, pale metallic wash, and medicinal phenols. The aftertaste breathes of raw honey, mineral, dirty floral hops, dirty pale malts, and plastic phenolic wash. The body is lighter, and the carbonation is lighter. There is nice slurp and smack to the lip, with decent cream, froth, and finishing pop. The mouth is lightly coated, but puckered and dried with eventual astringent bite. The abv is appropriate, and the beer drinks well.
Overall, what we liked best about this beer is the drinkability. The appearance and aroma both start things off nicely, with both being warm and inviting. The sip follows with a bit of a surprise, as the flavoring embodies big bitterness of hops and phenolic inclusions, rather than striking a stronger balance with the “pale”, malty side of the style.

Hipster Ale is a nice, hazy amber color, if you decide to pour it into a glass. A top blanket of off-white froth hangs as it clings to the glass. The aroma is super inviting, with hints of granny smith apple and other fruit esters, as well as graham cracker crust. After a sip, it's revealed to be much hoppier than the aroma suggests, a bit more than your typical APA. It does have a good toasty malt backbone too though... Ultimately I found this to be one of the better, more enjoyable APA's I've had in a while, and would definitely recommend it and buy it again.

Pours amber with a fading head.
Nose shows orange marmalade, bready malt, sweet caramel. Pretty malty stuff.
Very hoppy flavours, but there's a lot of malt to back it up. Orange marmalade, pine, resinous notes, clean sweet malt.
Needs more carbonation.

Pours orange with good head and lacing.
Smell is grainy, some caramel, pineapple tarte tatin. Big rich malt backdrop on the nose. Has almost a nice aged-Barleywine complexity.
Taste is a nice candied pineapple/butterscotch. Fruity. Strongly and initially almost harsh bitterness, but cuts out nicely before it gets chemical-y.
Mouthfeel again has that harsh bitterness, but a bit sweet and highly carbed.
Overall I definitely enjoyed this.

Poured into a moustache pint glass while wearing plaid and listening to Bon Iver. Bottom of can says 11/07/12.
A- Pours an orangeish amber color with a 1/4 inch off-white head that doesn't retain long before becoming a thin ring around the edge of the glass and a half sheet of bubbly surface foam. Slippery, semi-resilient lacing leaves clots behind on the glass. There are tiny specs of sediment suspended in the body.
S- Pleasant hoppy aroma with notes of pine and citrus and a bit of sweet malt. Slightly musty.
T- Quite bitter for a pale ale with more citrusy hops bringing a brightness to the profile. There is a sturdy buttery malt backbone but it's definitely light in contrast to the hops. Note of cracker, hint of grapefruit.
M- A bit dry with a lingering hop bite. Medium-low carbonation and a medium body.
O- A very nice hoppy pale ale that's still easygoing and not too intense. While it was a bit lacking in carbonation, I would definitely pick up a six-pack of this if the price wasn't so outrageous.

Pours a hazy Redgum honey hue with a fluffy three finger head and lacing everywhere, the smell is pineapple, piney hops, floral hops and grapefruit very enticing indeed, the mouthfeel is medium bodied and well carbonated with tastes of grapefruit, pineapple, boiled candy, piney bitter hops and finished with a floral hippiness and overall it's a great pale ale and with these guys nothing surprises me as they constantly impress me cheers.
