16.9 oz bottle into Duvel tulip... "Best Before 2013" on the bottle... (oops it's 2.3.13)
A - Poured with a crazy amount of head. Settled to a thin layer with decent retention. Good lacing.
S - MAJOR brett funk. Darker malt presence than expected. Some American hops in the background. Really dominated by the brett funk. Too much for me, probably.
T - I enjoy the flavor more than the aroma. I think that if this had been made with "regular" yeast, I would find it too malty, but it's not offensive. The funk is still pretty strong. Hops are detectable in the background, but everything is dominated by the brett funk.
M - Crisp and refreshing mouthfeel.
O - Ok, granted I drank this a little late but I was not thrilled by this beer. I will try it fresh if I have the chance. If you like a lot of brett... you may really enjoy this. I gave slightly higher scores because of the fact that I drank this a little late... Also - not sure this should really be considered an American IPA... :-) Again, maybe fresh the hops would have been able to hold up to the brett, but I don't think it would have been as much of an issue without the brett. Cool idea from a cool brewery.

A 22 fl. oz. bomber with no clear bottled on or best before date. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: A lightly hazy golden orange colour with a big three finger white head that had good retention and left some nice lacing.
Aroma: Citrusy orange juice, orange rind, lemon, tangy, lightly tart and a touch of brett.
Taste: Similar to the aroma, citrusy, orange juice, orange, lemon, lemon zest, tangy, grass, brett with hints of tropical fruit, pineapple.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Not bad at all, but not as good or complex as the Femme Fatale Blanc that I had just tried a day earlier. Still worth a try though.

Boy this was interesting. Not sure how old it was as there was no bottle dating on it. Initially it was fully brett and not much else. Really dry at first too. But as it warmed and opened up the underlying ale began to show. More malt than hops, that's why I wonder if there was a little age on it. The bitterness of the hops was evident in the bottom, but I drank that separately. While starting harshly it finished as a reasonable drinkable beer.

Copper and gold with almost no haze but a firm stream of bubbles rising in the middle of the glass. Topped with 2 fingers of yellow hinted head.
Brett on the nose immediately. Horse blanket, dusty cellar reminiscent of Cantillon, light floral quality like daisies after the rain.
Big bitterness on the front of the nose, a light marmalade bitter sweetness, Brett again, dry hoppy quality reminiscent of Duvel's yearly hop releases, light, flowery aromatics in there as well.
Feels light and dry for the ABV, smooth, refined tannins and light, dry carbonation.
Big bitterness I wasn't expecting but great balance. Very funky but refined brew that would be extremely versatile with food. Memories of Duvel one offs and Orval all come to mind as I sip this masterpiece. Got on Wishbeer, drank July 25th, 2016.

Pours a hazy golden orange color with a soapy white head that leads little chunks of lacing.
Smells of funky brett with some underlying bright hops.
Tastes of the funk layered over the hops and a solid malt backbone. Brett leads off with funk and earth notes mostly. This gives way to some grainy malts with a fair amount of sweetness. Hops come next with notes of citrus. tropical fruits, and pine. Finishes with a lingering brett note.
Mouthfeel is medium with a slightly assertive amount of carbonation.
Overall, this is a tasty brett IPA that hits all the right notes.

Served in a snifter at the Union Brewhouse in Weymouth.
Appearance: A two finger billowy head was poured that reduced to a thin layer. It is a hazy yellow orange color with light vision of bubbles coming up through the glass. Super frothy lacing down the glass as the beer was drank.
Smell: Funk, barnyard, rubber tires, tropical, citrus, grassy, bready, toasted, and pale malts.
Taste: Have to admit that there is some balance to the brett, hops, and malt. Some chewy and bitterness in there too.
Mouthfeel: Funky, medium bodied, chewy, bitterness, a little dry, and medium to high carbonation.
Overall: This is actually an enjoyable funky IPA. I'll grab another.
