22oz bottle split and poured into a a snifter.
A: Pours a very cloudy light yellow orange with a one finger white head. Leaves some nice lacing on the sides while the head dissipates quickly.
S: Initially Brett with a backing of hops. Reminds me of a citra hop with a lemongrass accent. Just a touch of sweet malts. Saisoniness from the yeast. Earthy and grassy tone to it.
T: Certainly a hoppy brew, with a strong compliment of Brett yeast. They play out well together and provide a bit of spice. The blend has a refreshing tone to it
M: Light body with a very crisp finish from the yeast. Has a dry finish from both the hops and yeast, interesting combination.
Overall love the direction and intention of this style of IPA. Can't wait to see it developed further. Brett and hops are a tremendous compliment to one another.

A: Pours a hazy golden hue with a thin off-white head.
S: Sour aroma, with hints of green apple and citrus rind.
T: Brettanomyces funk comes through a tiny bit at the beginning, mixed with lemongrass, and lighter fruits. The middle is dominated — but not overly — by hop flavors. Floral notes near the end mingle with bright sweetness and hops, while a full blast of that Brett flavor clears things out.
M: Pretty light in body, not that carbonated until the finish.
O: If you’re looking for lots of hops and/or lots of sour, this beer isn’t for you. Despite being an IPA, it’s not overly hoppy, and despite using 100% Brettanomyces yeast, it’s not all that funky. There’s a really beautiful, very controlled tartness to this beer that makes an off-the-beaten-path style extremely drinkable. Once the Brett flavor fades between sips, you’re left with a nice bread-y residue that makes the bright, fruity, floral notes pop that much more when you go back. It’s an exercise in restraint that yields a well-balanced, easy-drinking beer.

22 oz. bottle purchased in the greater Washington D.C. area, unknown brewing/bottling date (likely mid-2012), poured into a Northern Brewer "Every Ounce Countrs" pint glass, drank 4/12/13 over one hour.
A: 2.5 - golden yellow, minimal clarity (can't see or read through), incredibly overcarbonation that led to a 3-4 finger frothy/soapy white head that slowed the pouring, stuck to the sides of the glass and masked the aroma, unable to detect alcohol legs due to the sticking suds
S: 3 - again, the overcarbonation impeded what was probably a full aroma beer; some lemon rind, tangerine and background Brett funk, some subtle Noble hop qualities as well that become more prominent as the beer warms
T: 4 - I'd say this is a pretty complex for a Belgian IPA; at the front of the tongue, I'm getting lots of citrus with some background tart sweetness...almost like a lemon bar; the tartness then develops and lingers through the sip and into the aftertase; again, I'm not getting much hop flavor at all except for some minor Noble hop earthiness and spice
M: 3.25 - the overcarbonation again ruined it for me here; light bodied and refreshing once it settles in, subtle alcohol note
O: 3.25 - a wickedly overcarbonated Belgian IPA that doesn't really do much for me; the Brett tartness and funkiness is also far too subtle for my tastes; if you're going to do an all-Brett fermentation, I expect more of its qualities and this beer did not deliver...it's an underwhelming product that I will likely not purchase again
