A - Cloudy orange-brown with a finger of frothy off-white head. Fades fairly slowly.
S - Earthy, floral, and pine hops, some herbal esters, sweet caramel malts, and some grains.
T - Earthy, pine, floral hops, some bitterness, sweet caramel and grainy malts, lemon zest, biscuit.
M - Medium bodied moderate carbonation. Smooth with a dry, bitter, and lightly sweet finish.
D - Nicely balanced. Good overall IPA with a pine and grassy hop profile.

A: Pours a cloudy dark golden yellow with some hints of brown in color with light to moderate amounts of carbonation. The beer has a three finger tall dense foamy light beige head that very slowly reduces to very thick film evenly covering the entire surface of the beer. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: There are strong aromas of grassy, medicinal, and earthy hops which is slightly off-putting. The aroma is very sharp. astringent and light amounts of grainy malts.
T: Upfront there is a slightly unpleasant and off-putting grainy malts with some earthy mushroom flavor to it. On top of that, there is a strong flavor of grassy, medicinal, and earthy malts which contribute significant amounts of bitterness which linger way too long.
M: Medium bodied with moderate to heavy amounts of carbonation. There is a moderate to significant amount of dryness in the middle of the body and sharply astringent towards the finish.
O: Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your perspective) this beer tastes exactly like I imagine cat piss would really taste based on the ammonia component of the smell. The appearance and the smell are OK but the taste of this beer is slightly off-putting - not sure I would want to have another of these.

A: The beer is cloudy brownish yellow in color and poured with a two finger high off white head that has excellent retention properties and hardly died down and always left a short head covering surface.
S: There are moderately strong aromas of gooseberries and earthiness in the nose.
T: The taste shares similarities with the smell and has some notes that somewhat resembles ammonia, which I assume was the inspiration for its name.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer definitely has a unique aroma and flavor profile. It definitely takes some getting used to.

Bottle labelled "Cat Piss" not "Katz Pis"
A - Medium orange. Cloudy. Thin layer of off-white head.
S- Earthy and floral hops. Some herbal aromas present as well. Not much evident from the malt bill.
T - Earthy, floral and herbal hop flavours dominate the palate along with a moderate bitterness. A slight malt sweetness is evident in the background.
M- Light to medium body. Moderate carbonaiton.

Gave this one a pour into a big snifter glass. The head was massive, even with a slow pour it consumed the entire glass nearly spilling over the brim. The retention was good on this beer but the lacing was surprisingly minimal. The beer looked like a cloudy golden color with lots of sediment in there. The smell of the beer was not quite what I was expecting either, it was more on the earthy side. The hops that were used didn't have any of the citrus aromas it was more like an English IPA in my opinion. The aromas of grassy grain were in there as well. The taste of the beer is average to me, it's bitter but it doesn't really scream like some IPA's do. The balance of the malt and hops were decent. The mouthfeel was excessively carbonated. Very very bubbly, not the smoothest beer out there for sure. Overall I bought it because of the name and because the price tag was decent. However, I wouldn't buy this beer again.

Bottle from recent Chicago trip, Westlake Liquors. Pours, even for me, monstrous amount of foam. Bottle was a foamer. Neutralized aroma through the perfumed Sauvign hops, let's call it a neutral aroma. Tingling yet creamy mouthfeel of hops and malt. Not bad to drink, bit took some getting used to. Would not want it every night.

A: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a brownish-yellow color and a cloudy/murky consistency (much muddier than the typical IPA). There was a huge, creamy, long-lasting head. Good lacing.
S: A sharp aroma of citrus, hops, malt and some grain.
T: Tasted of hops (a pretty big dose of them considering this is a regular IPA), malt, a biscuity quality, and a slightly grainy finish. Essentially not a run-of-the-mill IPA flavor, but still pretty satisfying.
M: A well-carbonated beer with a prickly, lively finish. Medium-bodied.
O: A slightly unusual beer, but drinkable and worth a shot.

Golden yellow, only thin ring of head to begin with, some sticky lacing. Grassy scent, some muddy earthiness and medicinal alcohol notes. Taste again is grassy with a faint herbal note, some lemon and a bit of earthiness like muddy stale water. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Expected pungency from the hops in a beer of this name really never comes through in scent or taste. Moderate in bitterness and some unfriendly scent and taste notes. Stale tasting.

Served from bottle into a Mikkeller stemmed tulip. Poured yellow-orange with a four finger off-white head that subsided two fingers extremely slowly. Maintained phenomenal lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, citrus, citrus hop, earth, fruit, litter box, and earth hop. The flavor was of sweet malt, citrus, citrus hop, earth, earth hop, and spicy hop. It had a light feel on the palate with high carbonation. Overall this was a pretty decent brew. The aroma on this one was really quite nice. I found it kind of comical that I found litter box in the nose based on the name of this brew, but it definitely worked with the balance of things going on here. The flavor was a little more spicey and citrus forward which was nice, but not awe-inspiring. Good easy drinker. Worth trying if you get the chance.

Pale amber, slightly cloudy with a huge off-white head that steadily shrinks to a thin, rocky, foamy top and some decent lace.
Aroma is nice juicy-yeasty character with pine sap, wood, leafy vague citrus. It has fairly subtle complexity and a firm, pleasant slightly medicinal hint. The “cat pee” hint is not evident at first but rears its head eventually and only lightly.
Taste is medicinal peppery quality up front with caramelized sugar, yeasty juiciness, some light toastiness, then candied bitter burnt orange peel, spicy pepper bitterness taking over at finish strongly. It is good, if somewhat astringent and a touch too bitter. The feel is thin but not watery.

Poured from 12oz bottle into new glarus pint glass. They may call it Kat Piss because it's very hazy, unclear but leaves a frothy head that sticks to the glass. Good retention.
The aroma is tooaweet and bready and malty for an IPA for not only American but even an English version. I think they used all Contintental style hops in this beer that gives it a pilsner like aroma. Feels like a helles or pilsner.
Taste is about the same. It's more like an English cask style beer in flavor. Very mellow, non overbearing hops and Laughton sweet and malty. Alot of pilsner overtones.
Mouthfeel is ok, just a bit flat and slightly syrupy.
I was hoping for alot more but I think it's a questions of the target market for this beer and I don't think American craft set palates will take to it quit well if they want an over sexes west coast hops style IPA. I paid $7 for this beer too. Wrong hops. Doesnt balance the malt. Not worth it.

Picked up a bottle in Madrid. Actually the label says "cat piss". Made me want to try it. Poured into a wine glass. Nice hazy orange hue and decent lacing. Smell is malty with mild pine it not spectacular. I have smelled cat piss before and this is lacking the same aroma. Taste is like sour pear with some malt backbone and hops. Not overly aggressive as the name would suggest. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and actually pretty good. Overall above average for European IZpA but still not quite what I was hoping for.
