Thrilled to start the afternoon off with this one. Brought in by the boys at GBX, I was able to pout the whole bottle in to a 28 ounce wine glass, and it would need it.
The pour was just stupid. Hazy golden, tons of carbonation that just would not quit and a head that was beyond description. It just gathered and gathered forming five inches over the top and settling down with tons of lacing down the sides,
Aroma of coriander, lemon zest, peppery notes, lots of banana and grassy touches all carry over well into the flavor. Your classic funky little saision with the hint of tart fruit and spicey dry finish that seals the deal. One of the best I have had in a while.

Golden color in the glass with a modest head. Big, rich, fruity flavors with a zing of the Belgian yeast. Spicy nose with a prickly carbonation. Starts with a sweet malt taste cut by tangy citrus. A long rasp of yeasty bitterness followed by more fruit.
Pear skins and apple pie with a browned crust. A big flavored Saison that may be a little too intense on the dry, yeasty flavors, but it's a long strange trip. Very interesting and worth comparing with other Saisons. On tap at Public House in La Jolla.

Four packs YAY!
Pours a slightly cloudy bright yellow with good white head and lacing.
Smells like a farmhouse all right. Funky and lemon.
Taste is citrus rind, funk, Belgian hops. Some sweetness but about right.
Mouth feel when first opened was pretty dry then mellowed and became wetter.
Overall, I think this is a good Saisan. I am surprised it has a somewhat lower rating. This is very drinkable, fresh and well done.

Poured from a bottle into a nice Half Acre tulip glass
A - Hazy golden straw color, generated a very nice white frothy head, lots of lacing as the head receded.
S - sweet lemon and grassy scent, nice spice profile
T - Very nice taste, starts out with some sweetness, good spicy flavors with lemon hints, ends with a real dry finish.
M - Medium bodied, medium carbonation very dry.
O - I like this brew, good balance of sweet and dry, very crisp on the finish while being very tasty.

12 oz bottle into a delirium tulip.
pours a golden yellow with barely any head.
you can feel the funk in the smell. not overpowering, very pleasant.
not overly carbonated, little bitter kick in the aftertaste, along with a hint of citrus. the main flavor isn't overly pronounced. this a a very good saison but not top notch.

Pours a transparent golden body with hazy hues beneath the persistent feather white head that holds on for most of the beer's duration.
Aromas consist of yeasty farmhouse funk, lemongrass and hints of coriander and grass.
Flavors offer yeast and again lemongrass, as well as some spice notes such as peppercorns, and touches of wheat.
Medium to lighter in body with medium carbonation and an earthy finish.
Not a bad Saison but perhaps not as clean and pronounced in terms off the typical style characteristics as some of its peers.
