Nose is dark roasted coffee, roast malts, some dark chocolate and just a hint of vanilla. Taste is spectacular. Evil Twin's stouts have consistently satisfied me. My least favorite has been their Yin Imperial Stout and it was a good one. There is vanilla right out front with heavy, roasted notes and some coffee coming up in the back. There's a slight strand of chocolate running through but the vanilla and roasted malts are strongest. The coffee flavors sticks around on the tongue afterwards paired with some hints of vanilla. It says "Best by 2015" on the bottle so I may put one away to try in a year or so. God I love Evil Twin.
EDIT: After reading some other reviews I can also pick up a bit of smokiness like Stone's Smoked Porter. Its really mellow though, and it comes across as roasted malts. There is definitely a smokiness there though, especially in the aftertaste.

A: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a black color and a thick texture. There was an inch of foamy, tan-colored, fairly long-lasting head. Good lacing.
S: A somewhat underplayed, yet enticing, aroma of malt, chocolate, and a sugary quality.
T: Tasted of chocolate (a surprisingly large amount), a little roasted malt, light hops, caramel, the sugary quality, and a burnt element in the finish. A focused, sweet, and balanced flavor. Well done.
M: A good amount of carbonation with a creamy body and a slightly harsh (from the burnt element) finish. Medium- to full-bodied.
O: An incredibly sturdy, well made, and drinkable beer.

A – Dark. Thinner than expected when pouring. White head in the center which darkens toward the glass. Inch of lacing follows down my Bruery tulip after every sip that stretches the height of the glass as I finish. Beautiful.
S – Not too much going on from a nose perspective. No “wow” factor. Standard stuff as you would expect – vanilla, marshmallow fluff…
T – Chocolate, vanilla, caramel – very sweet. I love sweet stouts so this is right up my alley. Nice and sugary sweetness on the lips. Great balance of flavors that don’t dissipate. The mark of a solid brew. No alcohol present by any means. Hints of burnt caramel on the tongue.
M – Thicker than the pour which I was very happy about. I was worried about the mouth feel when I watched the pour, but it didn’t disappoint. I would say mouth feel is a little lighter than Founder Imperial Stout. Could be a little thicker, but I am being picky.
O – This brew is exactly what I wanted – A very solid vanilla stout and it better have been for the price I paid. Evil Twin is not cheap. I was very let down by Yin and Yang and didn’t try another Evil Twin until Lil B last year which sparked my interest in Evil Twin again. I love Lil B and was very pleased that they offered 12oz bottles this year because it kicks your ass. Back to Soft DK - Overpriced, 100%. Glad I tried but will not revisit, split a bottle with a friend and save some $$$. Drank the 500ml bottle in an hour and feel fine. It was good but looking forward to trying my Even More Jesus tomorrow.
