Despite the crudeness it is tricky to make an effective Molotov cocktail. Despite the unruly nature of the rebel it is very tricky to resist accepted conventions. Molotov Cocktail is a tour de force in rebellious hoppiness, it’s a spark for action and by far one of the most anti-authoritative beers ever made by Evil Twin Brewing.

Pours a clearish orange color that develops a slight chill haze in the glass. The head doesn't resemble an IPA and the usual craterous, meringue-like peaks and valleys. Instead it looks like every other head, though it's got an orange hue. Retention is fair, leaving a faint thin lace.
This thing produces an amazingly aggressive smell. VERY piney and floral. Dank. I don't know what Simcoe smells like, but it's evident in this beer. Any malt profile is destroyed by the hops.
Taste is bangin.' Lots of pine, but citrus flavors finally come out. Orange and grapefruit evolve and what seems to be pineapple. A bit of malt is alive too. At 13% they're is some alcohol.
A lot is taking place with the mouthfeel. A bit of sweet starts the party before the bitterness builds. The bitterness and heat last long into the finish and never really go away. For an IPA the body is full and manly.
I like this beer and I'm looking to buy some more. It's good stuff, complex with nice strong flavors and high ABV.

650 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 13%. Brownish deep golden colour, thin white head. Strong aroma of fruity hops, orange marmalade and caramel, hints of alcohol. Strong and concentrated flavour, aggressive bittering hops, overwhelming sweetness, again orange marmalade and caramel, loads of alcohol. Not my cup of tea.

A bit hazy yellow/amber with white head of decently dense foam, no lacing. Scents of pine, mango, pineapple are dominate over a bready malt. Taste is everything expected in a big IPA: strong bitters, big malt with the tropical fruit background and an astringent finish. Heavy body and above average carbonation.
