The Belgian IPA is based on our regular IPA – pale, Munich, Carapils and caramel malts, hopped 4 times in the kettle and double dry hopped with a blend of Cascade, Citra, Chinook, and Columbus hops. The Belgian IPA features a larger portion of Citra hops and a higher degree of attenuation (7.7% abv compared to 6.8% for the regular IPA, same starting gravity) along with the added fruity/spicy character from the Belgian yeast results in an intense blast of hop aroma and flavor.

On tap in a shaker pint. Hazy amber with a modest finger of head, but it's creamy, dense and long-lasting. Speckly lacing is scattered about.
Smells like a "Belgianized" version of Two-Hearted Ale: loads of citrus and honey sweetness, but with a pleasant injection of Belgian yeast. Undetected in the nose, some pine wastes no time in revealing itself in the first sip. This is no doubt a citrusy IPA though. Think juicy orange, mango, pineapple, maybe a touch of sweetened grapefruit. The spicy yeast and hints of candi sugar are nice complements to the hop profile. A nice jolt of bitterness midswallow. Goes down nice and easy. Finishes pretty clean, aside from a pleasant tropical juiciness.
Overall impression: This brewery seems to be off to a great start. Do give this beer a try if you run into it.

I wanted to add this, so I have to review.
A: Amber to dark amber, with a nice light head. Maybe a bit dark for the style, but that is not really a big deal.
S: Wonderful! Fruity tropical hops. Amazing amounts of that belgian yeasty aroma. Is that citra? The aroma is perfect.
T: This is the only place that may be able to have some improvement. The hops in the aroma don't really come through as well in the flavor. This could be related to the body or the yeast. Still quite tasty.
M: Light to medium body with a bit of bitterness on the back of your tongue.
D: Excellent. Easy to drink and enjoyable to the last drop.
This was an excellent example of the style and pretty amazing first commercial batch of this beer. This is a brewery you want to watch.
