Notes:
A base of pale, Munich, and Carapils malts is just enough to contain the massive hop flavor and aroma packed into this highly drinkable IPA. A blend of four American hop varieties is added four times in the kettle and twice in the fermentor for a complex and layered hop experience. Best served at 45-50˚F in a tulip or English style pint glass.

Shared as an extra in recent trade- appears to be canned on 11-2
Appearance: this brew pours a hazy yellow-orange with small, white bubbles. Initially, carbonation seemed like it might be too much, but subsided very quickly. Some small bubbles still rolling up the tulip glass 15 minutes after pouring.
Smell: for anyone who likes hops, this is as close to perfect as an IPA can get without being Pliny. Heavy grapefruit and orange peel aroma. Light yeast smell. I can smell the beer from across the table.
Taste: WOW! Great flavor. Explodes with citrus hops from the minute it hits your mouth. Almost an almond finish. Carbonation is really nice for an IPA- not too much, not too little. Are they sure this is not a DIPA? Malt finish is slight compared to huge hop front end.
Overall: I would say this compares to some of the big name IPAs that are often talked about on BA. I need to get me a six-pack.
Cheers!

New craft bar opened 5 minutes from my house today so stopped in to check it out. Westbrook ipa on draft! Brew was served in a gsb pint glass. Nice murky orange with a thin head. Smell is spot on, great balance of citric dankess and soft tropical fruit notes. Taste matches the nose. Not overbearing hoppines. Everything is in the right place. Terrific beer. I think i may need another. Cheers westbrook, great ipa. Can hold its own with the big boys.

Westbrook IPA doesn't look too flashy after being poured from a can into a pint glass, but this beer makes up for it in two key areas, smell and taste. A hop punch to the face at the first whiff, excellent! Followed up by a deliciousness that took me by surprise! A very easy to drink beer during the Spring and Summer and from a can! A bit pricey, but very good!
