visited to meet a friend and have a couple beers. was able to get a table in the larger back bar section. i actually entered through the front of the restaurant and was slightly alarmed because i could not locate my party or any other party for that matter. the front of the restaurant is significantly smaller than the back and on my way out i discovered this is more of a family dining section.
the atmosphere was rather english pub-esque. dark, cold, plenty of sports on the monitors. beers had a good selection from the UK as well as a few american crafts. had a fuller's porter as well as a heavy seas loose cannon. both solid brews at moderate prices. everything on the draft and bottle menu were in the $5 - $7 range if i remember correctly. not too bad considering the area.
service was a bit patchy. didn't get one refill on my water glass, however they were quick to recommend another beer. wish i could comment on the food, but didn't have a chance to try. might have to go back to check out the eats.
i would say worth a look and judge for yourself. not the best beer bar in the area, but worth a check.

Met up with a coworker here for supper. Tiny, quieter family dining area in the front; we headed to the bar area in the back. Not busy at all on a Monday evening which ought to be peak time. Counted about 11 TVs on about 6 different channels, sound down. 80's rock was playing, heavy on the English bands, but heard the Go-Gos. Looks like they stocked up at the English pub prop store: Stones, Beatles, Who albums on the wall, cricket bats, a red call box, natch.
Menu looked inviting, I was torn between the peppered steak and bangers & mash, and picked the latter. Not too satisfying, I've had better at plenty of places. Willing to try something else on the menu next time.
Nice to see several English taps, but they're almost all lamestream. Maybe it's just hard to get English beers on tap. A BA selection score is hard to crack. "Below average" for the beer joints I try to seek out in the DC metro area, or "Above average" for the typical horrid beer selection if you don't know where to look. That works out to Average.
Being a pub, they ought to have at least one cask, right? Or maybe their clientele wouldn't finish off a cask in time, and it would always go bad?
Prices fair, beer was good. I'd stop here again, give them another chance. Wishing them luck, it's a pretty new place.

PH7 now has Fuller's ESB on tap, as well as Heavy Seas Loose Cannon. They've also added Fuller's London Porter in the bottle.
Self-styled as an English pub, PH7 is a nice addition to Falls Church, VA. Offers 11 beers on tap, with a couple that will rotate, and what hopes to be a growing variety of beers in the bottle. Guinness and Boddington's on nitro; Dale's Pale Ale, Bell's Brown Ale, Stella Artois, Magic Hat #9, are some of the variety on tap. Fuller's ESB, Bass, Rogue, and others in the bottle.
Unpretentious, comfortable place, with a dining room out front and larger bar area in the back. Non-smoking. Only open since 10/19/10, and are working out some of the kinks (e.g., website still being updated), but the folks are very friendly and the food is quite good -- English offerings include bangers with real mash, roast beef with Yorkshire pudding (3 mini puddings), and of course chips, which are quite good. Much better quality than the stereotypical "pub grub."
The head chef/owner is from England, and the decorations are English-themed items. They have succeeded in making it a low-key, friendly place (and not some non-Englishperson's idea of what a British pub should be).
