A gourmet store at heart, Empório Frei Caneca is located inside the Frei Caneca Shoppng Center on the first floor. No, wait, that´s confusing. How about the floor located above the one you enter at street level?

The beer selection wieghs towards imports like Brooklyn, Hop Back, Schneider Weiss, Kostritzer, Meantime, and DeuS. A few domestics are available, including OPA Bier, Paulistânia, and the (now) infamous Colorado Ithaca (which I picked up). You can find the beers in two different parts of the store. Gift packs which includes glasware are available too, as are a few 5 liter mini-kegs of German beer. EFC would be a good place to run into for one-stop gourmet beer and food.
