Pours amber red gold with a small 1/2 inch head.
Smells of sweet malts.
Very refreshing beer with a nice malt and mild hop hit flavor.
Very clean and smooth in your mouth.
Overall I give this one a 4.5 like all yeugling beers it has a specail flavor that fits yeugling beers.
This is another winner for America's Oldest Brewery! No brewery is more American than Yeungling!!

Bottle into pint glass.
Very nice orange red dusk color.
Muted caramel sweet malts faint hops. Very clean.
Mild toasted caramel malts with a nice quick hop flavor in the finish.
Full bodied but not heavy. Smooth finish.
Good Oktoberfest. What I love about Yuengling is that they really put there own spin on their beers. You can tell it is a Yuengling beer.

Do my eyes deceive me? Does that say "Yuengling Oktoberfest?!" Um, yes, please!
12oz bottle poured into a conical pint. Pours a tawny dark rusty amber with a small sheet of lace atop. The nose is fruity with notes of banana, stawberry - though faint at that. Toffee and caramel sweet aromas round this out, with a touch of ethanol. A different aroma, but not offputting.
Smooth clean mouthfeel, that begs to be gulped. Spot-on carbonation gives the beer enough girth to satisfy me. Sweet caramel and toffee flavors, light fruity back end. Bready finish. Alcohol adds just enough zip to bolster this beer. A total malt-heads dream. Really a good beer. I expected to find some major flaws in this, but I couldn't really find any. A well-made beer, perfect for the cooler months ahead.

Ruddy copper beer with a thick, foamy head that leaves lots of lacing. Has a leafy, bready aroma with notes of caramel. Flavors of tea leaves and light butterscotch with a yeasty aftertaste. Body seems a little thin but this is a great example of Oktoberfest beer.

I'm glad Yuengling took my advise on brewing this beer in my Yuengling Bock review from a few years back. Good job, guys...I'll take a bonus check when time allows. :)
Appears a semi transparent amber color with a fluffy, off white cap that slowly fades into a mild head and color. Scattered bits of lacing are left around the glass.
Smell is of freshly baked bread, caramel, toffee, light grass, and hints of sourdough. Freshly cracked Munich malt.
Taste is of the aromas with a malty blast of bread, caramel, toffee, and a gentle tartness with an earthy/hoppy grass note found in the background.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, clean, fresh, and authentically German in nature.
Very well done for a Pennsylvania, larger brewery. $7 for a six-pack? Sold.

Man, was I surprised by this beer! I really like and respect what Yuengling puts out, but I did not expect them to come out with an Oktoberfest of this quality. I've had this on tap at a local bar several times.
Beer had a great copper color and sweet smell. The taste and quality was not only comparable to a lot of more expensive Oktoberfests I've had (I got this for $1.50 a pint, not on special!), but I think it was even better. I had a Sam Adam's Oktoberfest on tap that same night, and I think the Yuengling Oktoberfest put the S.A. to shame. Maybe I was just biased because it was a Yuengling beer, but either way, its an excellent Oktoberfest!

this was the "secret beer" at Cooper's in Scranton, PA. excitedly ordered it after finding it on their Facebook page. I find Marzens to be average beers. Nothing ever blows me away. This was the first I've ever had that actually had some distintive taste to it. It was a beautiful orange/brown color, drank smooth and tasted fantastic. A bit heavy on the tongue, but all in all probably the best Marzen I've ever had. Who knew Yuengling could wow me with a new beer?

Served on-tap at Paradise, poured into a standard pint glass. Since this isn't out in bottles yet and I heard they had it on draft, I had to give it a try.
A: Clear, amber/copper colored body with a nice soapy white head on top. The dissipation was steady, and an extremely thin retention ring was left around the edges. I actually did get a bit of lace on this one which I was a bit surprised about.
S: Bready, grainy and soft caramel malts are first. A malt sweetness comes through along with a hint of bitterness and some buttery notes. It almost has a biscuit-like quality but not as much as I've experienced in other lagers. It's an okay nose; nothing is really jumping out.
T: Sweet and slightly toasted caramel malts come through first, with the sweetness lasting through mid-palate. Darker breads, a touch of honey and a really crisp spice note are towards the end. It's extremely easy drinking, not heavy on anything in the flavor profile that would make this a turnoff.
M: Bubbly, prickly and on the lighter end of a medium body. The finish and linger is clean and crisp, having a nice cut after the beer leaves your mouth.
It's probably one of the most sessionable Oktoberfest beers I've tasted, albeit not the most flavorful. Everything is here though that you'd expect for the style but it's not overdone, if anything understated. Easy drinking, crisp, clean and quite refreshing. A solid first attempt at the style. Then again, I think they do lagers quite well.

A-dark amber with a creamy cream colored head
S-faint smell of light and sweet barley. smells like an adjunct.
T-comes in with a bitter taste of roasted barley and some honey. the bitterness is actually pretty sticky. the after-taste is matching with more of a taste of honey. the after-taste is long lasting. there's a lot of good creaminess and woodyness to it.
M-creamy medium carbonation with a creamy finish
O-this is more drinkable than water, basically one of the purposes of the style. i actually love this. i really want to find a case of this. it doesn't fit the style guidelines to a T, but its a loose interpretation, and a good one. flavors are pretty decent.

Pours a clear dark amber with minimal head. Slightly sweet and toasted malt aromas carry over to the palate in a restrained and well balanced way, with a little of the metallic bitterness that resembles some of the flavors in regular Yuengling Lager. Moderate carbonation and medium body make this go down easy. Very solid.

Got this beer on tap at the draught horse on temple campus. I had no idea yuengling had come out with an octoberfest so I decided to try it. Definitely a good choice. It pours a golden orange color with almost no head. Aroma is mildly caramel with a bit of a biscuit quality. This is probably the more enjoyable octoberfest I have had (although I haven't had a ton if different ones). Light refreshing mouthfeel might be a little bit light for the style, but is perfect right now. After a morning commute that was 2 hours instead of 20 minutes and a slow tedious work day this is one great beer. Couldn't ask for anything else right now.

12 oz.
Pours a deep clear amber orange, orangish gold head dissipates to a lacing.
Smells of rich caramel malts along with toffee and buttered bread.
Coppery bready malts , brown sugar and a whisper of nutmeg.
Medium body with light stings of carbonation in the throat.
This is surprisingly good. Not the best marzen but better than I assumed from a brewery that hasn't branched out into seasonals before. It goes down really easily and has an interesting taste. I think I would have this again and I hop Yuengling considers other seasonals moving forward.

On tap at Kegler's today.
The beer pours a copper amber color with fairly decent head retention and light lacing. I don't get a whole lot on the nose, just some roasty malt and some sweet baked fruit flavors. The flavor profile replicates the nose, though there was a lot more flavor than I was expecting (especially given that this is a yuengling product). The beer is a bitg sweet and malty, but I don't mind that so much in a marzen. There's a kiss of bitterness on the finish, which helps to balance the sweetness in this beer. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied, with a moderately long, fairly clean finsh.
Another simple, uncomplicated, easy to appreciate beer from Yuengling. Can't imagine choosing this over a German version of this beer, but I thought it enjoyable and eminently drinkable. Not sure I'd ever order it again, but I enjoyed the glass I ordered at keglers.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a dark brown color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is sweet and malty. Taste is also very malty, some sweetness, a touch of hops, refreshing and easy drinking. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is an enjoyable beer.

Autumn amber in color with perfect clarity. Poured with a short, frothy, off-white foam that slowly reduced to a foam ring at the top of the glass. Sweet toasted malt, nutty, and earthy grass aromas. Smooth, delicate feel with rich, pleasant carbonation. Sweet toasted malt flavors up front into the middle. A sharp, bitter hop character from middle to end. Bitter flavor tapers quickly allowing the sweet maltiness to shine through again at the finish. Finishes with a sour biscuit flavor on the tip of the tongue and a lingering bitterness in the back of the mouth. This was a better than expected offering from Yuengling.

Poured from bottle into pint glass
Appearance – Pours a deep amber color with lots of tiny bubbles streaming up through the brew. Upon pouring there is a one finger white head. The head has good retention but does eventually fade to leave a light level of lacing.
Smell – The aroma is of a sweeter and toasted malt base. The sweetness is of a more toffee nature while the malt is of a bready smell with notes of some light roast.
Taste – A caramel sweetness and a roasted malt are the first to meet the tongue. Toward the middle the sweetness fades some with the beer becoming more crisp in nature. More toward the end some hop flavors come to the tongue. These hop flavors are lighter in nature and are largely of an earthy nature. In the end there is a bit of resurgence of some sweetness as well, leaving a rather pleasant sweet and roast flavor on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The beer is on the lighter to medium side with respects to its body and has an average carbonation level. The body would have been better suited by a bit more creaminess (letting those roasty and lightly hopped flavors really be detected by the tongue). Even with this said, it was fairly good overall and really quite nice.
Overall – Living in Pennsylvania now and having greater access to Yuengling’s many brews, I really have come to appreciate what they offer. It is a good product at a great price. Like their year round beers their Octoberfest is no different. While not the best per say, for its price to quality ratio, it is one of the best. It has good flavor as well as a nice color and smell. I say it’s a job well done by Yuengling.

Pours a nice copper amber. Tan head that maintained well to lace just a little .
Aroma of bread like malts, woody.
Taste of that bread, sweet caramel, malts and some hops at the finish.
The carbonation is ok but the beer feels a little thin.
Overall a good drinking ofest. As for the price, ya I'd buy again.

This brew surprised me. I poured into a nice clean pint glass.
The color is a really gorgeous amber. The head is really quite nice and a nice tan color but dissipates somewhat quickly.
The beer smells really nice with a nice aroma from the hops. A smell that truly entices one to drink the beer which is what the smell should do.
The taste is quite nice. Nice malty and a respectable hop presence. Not as hoppy as the typical Maerzen style but not bad at all. It has a nice clean finish.
Mouth feel is great. Its a nice medium bodied brew and nice and smooth so it goes down easy.
Not the best Maerzen style i have had but its a nice and tasty brew and at a price of around $7 a six pack one cannot go wrong with it. For me it exceeded my expectations and i think is well worth a good drink.

A- I poured from bottle to a pint-glass, had a finger head. dissipated slowly.
S- I honestly can't describe the smell of this beer.
T- Creamy, nutty, caramel taste. Very pleasant to me. This may be popular with those who enjoy porters or stouts (which I usually don't).
M- Left behind a nutty/caramel taste that stayed.
O- Overall, I like this better than a lot of other Oktoberfests I've had. Would I buy more than a 6 or 12-pack of this? No. I think it was a good beer considered it was simply a seasonal offering from Yuengling.

Thanks to Eric for giving me a growler of this. Poured into a pint glass, this brew appears a perfectly clear amber color. A finger of off-white froth sits atop the brew and recedes down to a thin film across the top. A light swirl brings back a finger of yellowish froth and leaves spots of lacing on the glassware.
The aroma of this brew is sweet with caramel malt, lightly biscuit-like with a touch of butter. Sulfur runs throughout with a bit of a mineral component. Some herbal to floral hops are present providing a nice contrast to the sweetness of the nose.
The taste is caramel malt, a bit bready with a very mild sweetness and buttery aspect. A touch of sulfur that was evident in the nose is also present in the flavor. Herbal hops are evident with a bitterness much more bold than I was expecting for a Yuengling offering. The aftertaste is a bit mineral like which is exaggerated by the sulfur inclusion.
This is a medium bodied brew with a modest amount of carbonation. Very crisp and easy drinking, the alcohol is very well hidden. This was an interesting take on the style and worth a try but not something I would go out of my way for to have again.

Had this on draft at the Grotto.
Pours a semi clear copper with a small white head. This beer is a shade or two darker than the Original Lager.
Nose is really grainy and bisquity malty.
Taste is a coarse husky, bisquity graininess. Not much of a hop presence. Overall medium bodied and pretty drinkable for an Oktoberfest. Not one of the best Oktoberfest Biers, but one that you can get pretty much anywhere.

A growler filled at the HopShop. Only $5.75 for a fill? Sign me up.
A: The octoberfest is a coppery color, amber like, well lager. The clarity is nearly perfect, the darker hues lending some haze. An off-white head, I'd go so far to call it a pale copper color.
S: The lager has a malty aroma, bready and lightly toasted. A very mild, light octoberfest. Considering the source, that seems about right. The nose isn't as rich as Lager, for those seeking a comparison point.
T: Malty, the chewiness stands out immediately. Lightly toasted, the flavors are mild. Hops are nonexistent. So I'm torn here. The beer wants to express more flavor than Lager but it just can't. Very drinkable, I had several pours from the growler, but the flavor isn't intense enough.
M: Easily drinkable, the complexity is a little lacking though. The Yuengling house flavor runs through the beer, a welcome addition but keep your expectations in check.
