look: 4.5 | smell: 4 | taste: 3 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 4

Poured from the twist off 12oz bottle into a standard pint glass.

Appearance- Beer pours clear and yellow golden with a fairly large two finger head that lingers for about a minute before dying down to a murk across the top with substantial lacing around the sides of the glass. Looks good for a pale so far.

Smell- Hmm, smells pretty nice as well, light base malts with a fairly fruity hop character, not IPA style citrus, but still a bit of citrus and pear another thing I can't quite pick up. Sweet, maybe a variety of honey? It does have a bit of a honey sweetness in there.

Taste- Oh, now here we fall a little short, there's a bit of drying hop bitterness, and those good pale malts come through, but the sharpness of being in green bottles also comes through. It isn't skunked, it's been kept in the most perfect of conditions, but that flavor just isn't quite up to snuff overall. It seems lacking in both malt and hop flavor.

Mouthfeel- A bit bitter, smooth, light bodied, highly carbonated, spritzy.

Drinkability- This is a smooth drinker, a lawnmower beer for sure, and this is something I would prefer to find in the can. This is something I'll seek out again when I go to Pennsylvania, but I will be looking for the porter first and foremost.

A - see through, pale, gold with a thin, fizzy, white head that fades in an instant

S - musty, faint grass, faint citrus

T - almost no flavor on the front end, but then there is a very bitter finish; there are some hints of citrus throughout if you look hard enough

M - medium bodied, very crisp, over carbonated

Well, this certainly isn't the best pale ale out there. It could definitely use a boost of flavor. It's also over carbonated which make it lighter than it should be. Overall, I'm not disappointed that I tried this, but I won't be buying it again.
