This was my introduction to "good" beer. It's what the old man would buy when he wanted "the good stuff".

LCA pours a pale yellow with some golden hues. A finger of head and adequate lacing. Not bad. Taste is completely acceptable for a six dollar a six pack brew. In fact, for the price, it's good. An initial strange (artificial?) hop bitterness is followed by a malty sweetnwess and a dry finish. Similar to Heineken, but a bit hoppier. Truly rides the border between a lager and an ale.

Mouthfeel is perfect for the style, if maybe a bit overcarbonated. Drinkability is spectacular. Overall, LCA is a tasty, reasonably priced quencher, and really hit the spot for me tonight.

A - see through, pale, gold with a thin, fizzy, white head that fades in an instant

S - musty, faint grass, faint citrus

T - almost no flavor on the front end, but then there is a very bitter finish; there are some hints of citrus throughout if you look hard enough

M - medium bodied, very crisp, over carbonated

Well, this certainly isn't the best pale ale out there. It could definitely use a boost of flavor. It's also over carbonated which make it lighter than it should be. Overall, I'm not disappointed that I tried this, but I won't be buying it again.
