12 oz bottle poured into pint glass

Price for this beer is cheap, dirt cheap, usually the same or only a buck more than Budweiser or miller products. Does it taste dirt cheap? Lets found out.

It pours a dark brown with a thin khaki head. Darker then I thought it would be. The aroma is mainly your standard lager but with a hint of roasted sweetness, I'm guessing from the porter.

Taste is surprising dry and crisp. You get some relaxed sweet notes but mostly on the dry bitter side of things. The feel is light and very easy to drink. One could put down several of these and still function. This beer sits right in the middle of bad and good. I haven't had the porter by its self, however I have had their lager and it is much better then this mix.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass.

A: Very deep brown in color, but with some red hues. Good clarity. Two fingers of thick creamy beige head retain extremely well. Lacing decorates the glass as if it were a veil.

S: Corny scent. Grassy hops. Muted aroma of brown cocoa and brown bread. That is all. Very bland and nondescript.

T: Sweet corn and grain husk. Grassy hops. Vague suggestions of brown cocoa, cola, molasses, and bread crust. Corn comes back and stomps out all else. Sweet finish of corn and muted grassy hop.

M: Light-medium body. Somewhat creamy with an active carbonation. It seriously lacks substance and comes off overly foamy.

O: Just not very good. Overly sweet, lacking substance. Too much adjunct lager, not nearly enough porter. Not worth a second look.
