Bitter, Orangey, Piney, Juicy
The brewer blended two Pale Ales to create this brew, one with Sorachi Ace hops and the other with Magnum, Cascade, and Centennial hops. Finished product yields and very hop forward robust Pale Ale that could easily be confused with an IPA. Clean and easy to knock back for a bitter 6% abv ale. Tasty from start to finish even if our palates keep on telling us this is an IPA, splitting hairs can be fun.

Blue Pants Brewery "Spare Pair"
12 oz. brown glass bottle, "BORN ON" date not legible... looks like 1 or 2/9/2015.
$1.50 @ Trader Joe's #664, Nashville, TN
Appearance: Cloudy deep copper - unfiltered. Creamy off white head holds well and leaves some very nice lacing.
Aroma: Caramelish malt, pine, tropical fruit.
Flavor: Malty, caramelish, fruity. Solidly bitter. Pine and light citrus in the finish with a dollop of medium caramel.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a dextrinous edge, and gently crisp with a carbonation level of around 2.35 volumes CO2/Liter.
Overall: A solid American pale ale with a bit of an English bent in its caramel maltiness. Nothing eye-opening, but more importantly, nicely balanced and rounded. Drinkable.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a dark golden color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of malts, some pine. Taste is piney, citrus, some malts, light bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is an easy drinking and quality beer.

On tap. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled of citrus and caramel. Sweet orange flavor and toasted caramel.
