Notes:
"A traditional German, slightly sour, spiced summer wheat beer, this is our take on a twice lost and revived German beer style. It's light and golden with a slightly salty finish. "

Ordered a glass at the barrel house in Portland after getting sweaty on my bike. Damn this hit the spot. This hazy yellow beer is sour, but not wild. It has a straightforward, almost clean tang. The malts are very mild under the sour, with a subtle bready wheat and toast character. Instead of the banana and spice of normal German wheat, this is big on the tangy grapefruit and lemon zest sour.

Served on tap into a footed ale glass at the Bier Stein
A- Poured a very nice and super bright hazy sunshine yellow with a ring of bubbles that stuck around for a while, but no lace
S- Lots of coriander, some lemon, some sourness, a lighter aroma
T- Very very sour, lots of coriander, salt, lemon, and lime.
M- Very dry, effervescent, lighter to medium body, high carbonation
O- Reminds me of a very sour margarita. Lots of lemon, lime, and salt character. One of the most sour beers I have had. Very interesting beer and the first of this style for me. Not something I would get again.

Snagged a 32 oz "growler" at BeerMongers in PDX. Tapped into it next day at home.
Pours flat into my Russian River snifter.
Description is "slightly sour". Are you kidding me? Suck your cheeks into your throat lemony sour!
Love it!
High marks for pushing the envelope for flavor and style.
Not at all a session beer. One and done. But a nice summer drink that beats the hell out of cider or something worse.

Growler picked up a week ago at Chuck's Hop Shop (aka Chuck's 85th Street Market) in Seattle. I was buying other beers, and an employee convinced me to taste this. After that, I couldn’t resist buying a growler. Tasted 3 August 2012, reviewed from notes.
Pours a hazy pale straw yellow. Almost see-through at the edges, but not quite. A thin cap of white head. Not much lacing, but an unusual film of light bubbles on the surface. Hmm...
Smell is a faint lemony aroma. Nice but not super impressive.
Taste is, well, wow. Really nice balance of gentle, mellow sour with light saltiness. Lemon that fades into a slightly sweeter flavor like meyer lemon, before the salt and a bit of spice kick in to provide the perfect balance. Dang, this tasty. Just so elegantly balanced, with the perfect amount of sour, complemented so well by that little salty spicy twinge.
Mouthfeel is light-bodied. Strong tingly up-front carbonation that gradually fades out into a mellow, slightly dry finish.
A fantastic mellow sour. I love this beer, and would drink it all the time if I could. Very tasty, very balanced. One of those beers that you stop and say “Mmm, that’s good.”

A: Poured a clody glowing yellow with good carbonation leaving a nice white cap, bubbles and lacing
S: Tartness, wheat, salt and citrus. Pretty straightforward
T: Soured apples, lemon, citrus, and atouch of salt. The finish is acidic, clean and dry
M: Light to medium bodied and well carbonated
O: Very good, refreshing

04AUG12 review.
Love that this is a "slightly sour" it's like they never traveled to Leipzig and drank the beer. This bitch is way more sour than the native versions I've had.
Diaphonous grainy yellow with off-white, fleeting foam. Nose is briny and sour with some hints of grain, salt, pepper and yeast. The flavor is sour for the style - lemon, grain, hints of triscuits. The finish is a littles saliated and gives off a green olive brine character dominated with lactic tart. Thin and wet. This is a tasty beer, and I purchased a grenade of it, but I wouldn't place it too high among Gose's.

Poured a pale, hazy straw yellow with a finger of bright white head. Fairly sour aroma with lots of lemon.
Highish carbonation and a dry, crisp mouthfeel. Great sour apple flavor up front followed by a slightly funky wheat backbone, maybe some clove, and a trace of salt. More lemon on the long, tart finish.
Refreshing and packed with flavor without overdoing the sour elements. Really nice.
