This place has been my go-to for years...it is a dedicaterd wine, beer and spirit shop..with the usual snacks and what not...a full aisle of beers, with a at least six cooler doors of beer selection as well...the atmosphere is nice...you feel like you are going to find what you are looking for..there is a decent amount of imports available here..in every format..sixers,singles, bombers..and a real nice selection of domestics..I have definately found a gem or two here..and they are willing to order in anything that available..and the prices are fair..more or less..the service is always great though.the owner and his staff are real nice, with the owner in particular having a real knowledge of the beers he carries...

This is a great store with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. They carry a good selection of local Michigan brews as well as other craft beer from all around the country. They also carry a very large selection of only the very best from well known beer countries from all around the world! This is a great place to go, especially if you are from Ontario looking to obtain some craft / unique beer from around the world and south of the boarder! A definite regular stop for me when I am visiting Port Huron!!

A very solid store to stop at while making Michigan beer runs from across the border. Very friendly, and knowledgeable always willing to lend a helping hand with whatever you may need. Personally I found the selection to be not as good as the nearby Ryan's party store, but still more than enough for a lot of good michigan craft beer's. They did have a better singles selection for those looking to mix and match a few sixers. Fresh beer was also all that I found here, nothing past dated or anything like that. Between this place and Ryan's I found my go to when crossing the border in search of great craft brews.

Made the trek out to Port Huron for some Michigan beer. This is a must visit store for craft beer MI runs. For the size of the town vs. the selection its fairly big. Plenty of cooler doors stocked with lots of selection and shelves for the bombers. I came specifically for Bell's and Founder's of which they stocked plenty of varieties. Stock was reasonably fresh. Nate was more than happy to grab a bunch of empty cases for me to fill up with 6 & 4 packs and offered me to break up any into singles if I wanted to try just one. (Best part: he offered me a KBS upon checkout upon seeing my Founders case purchase.) The owner was very friendly and generous in checkout, complimenting many of the finer choices and offering a discount for multiple case purchase. The prices were very reasonable and I was extremely happy with my experience at Wolverine Market. This store embodies the spirit of craft beer; micro. -family owned and personable, caring, well informed. The owner even helped me carry out a case to my vehicle! Yes Andy, the trip was worth it! I'll be back and this will be my number one spot to grab Michigan craft beer.

My girl and I came here while doing a cross-border beer run in Port Huron. Upon entering the store we were greeted by Nate Bakko, the young guy who's responsible for bringing in all the quality crafts and imports as of late. His dad, Andy, is the wine sommelier for the store and he's given Nate some freedom to order stuff from Founder's, Dogfish Head, Avery, Stone, and Bell's, among many other breweries.
The beer selection is tiny but high quality and seemingly fresher than a lot of the stuff that's available at Ryan's. I grabbed a Samuel Smith Taddy Porter, DFH Olde School Barley Wine, Avery Maharaja, Founder's Red Rye, Centennial IPA, Breakfast Stout, Porter, Imperial Stout, and Pale Ale, Great Lakes Nosferatu, and Bell's Java Stout and Porter. These twelve beers only cost me $35, which is reasonable by Canadian standards. Beyond that, you can break apart six packs (which you can't do at Ryan's) and the staff are ridiculously helpful and friendly, as they chatted to us the entire time we were shopping and grabbed us a bunch of empty boxes to put the beers in.
Based on our solid experience here I agree with the previous reviewer's claim that Wolverine is worth checking out before heading to Ryan's. Nate and staff are doing great things with the beer and they know how to make their customers feel welcomed. I will definitely be back here on future trips.

I had a great experience at the Wolverine Market. I stopped at Ryan's Party Store and the Spirits Shoppe and while Ryan's Party Store had a few different beers, the prices were quite a bit higher for most beer.
Wolverine Market had a very balanced selection. Bells, Founders, Stone Brewing, etc. were all in stock. The owner was extremely patient and amazingly helpful in getting other beers that we were looking for out of storage.
The owner obviously puts a lot of effort into maintaining a great variety of crafts and emphasized how he tried to sell them ASAP to retain freshness. All around a superb place to stop when in the Port Huron area, and a very well balanced store given the size of the town.
I certainly recommend this store.

In my opinion, one of the best stores in Port Huron. Also one of the cheapest. I found the staff to be extremely helpful both times I've been in, and very accommodating. The owner offered to rip open a sampler pack so I could buy one of the bottles individually.
It's a father son business, and I find that they both know quite a bit about the beer that they sell. One of them recommended Huma Lupa Licious for me, and the other was able to find some Founders Breakfast stout which I was so eagerly hoping to find on my beer run to the states.
To my knowledge, I'm not sure how they could have made a better beer store for a town of the size. The prices were extremely reasonable, and they would be a great pick for craft-beer lovers.
