This is one of the better thirst quenchers on a warm summer evening on a patio in Victoria BC on Vancouver Island. It is brewed locally right here on the island. As a newbie craft beer fan, I am learning that local brews is where it's at. If you are visiting Vancouver Island and you enjoy light lagers, this is the one.

A: Poured with an average-sized, white head, that diminished to about 1/2-finger size. Body is a nice golden color, and completely clear.
S: Very light aroma - some grain and cooked corn.
T: Mostly cooked corn coming through here; what I would expect from a lager. However, there is a bit of bite to it with a crisp finish.
M: Medium-bodied with a thin texture, and average-to-fizzy carbonation.
D: Sure, you can drink it, but that corn-flavor gets sickening pretty quick. Not much more than a basic Euro lager.

Poured in a light yellow colour and with a centimeter of creamy foam. There was a sour smell studded with a hint of peras and apples, and strong bread notes. The taste had an initial dash of sweetness but it was soon attacked by the strong bread note. I just have one problem with this lager and its the unpleasant film of sweetness over everything. Without it this could be a top lager.

This was given to me by a guy who knew the rep so it so far not in Vancouver . This is a very nice lager with all the mod cons . OK hops , nice acid, semi dry finish, full midbody, OK nose. This won't rock your world but like Phillips Phoenix Gold this is very tasty within the style. The fact that it comes in cans is the icing on the cake.
