I just made my second trip to this shop and it's worth the 2.5 hour round-trip I have to drive to get there. For me this is the closest place with a good international variety. This is a chain but it appears the separate shops acquire their own stuff.
This branch of the Mitra chain isn't huge but they seem to consistently have a strong selection of international beers rather than just the regional beers you'd usually find in the area. This is the closest place I can go to get the American-style hoppy beers that are so hard to find in Western Europe. On this trip I snagged some beers from Great Divide, Founders, Anderson Valley, Mikkeller, Revelation Cat, Anchor, Brew Dog, Emelisse, De Molen, and Haandbryggeriet but there was more I'd have bought if I thought I could get through it all. They had some Sierra Nevada options and a better selection of Founders on my last trip but no luck this time.
They only had a few different beers for each of the breweries but the breweries they carry and the beers for each of them were high quality. For the times I've been, the selection in the store has been dead-on compared to their online shop. If you want to see the selection go to the 'Webwinkels' section of the website and then click on the 'speciaalbier' link. You should still be able to figure out some of the nationalities from there even if you don't speak Dutch.
The pricing for the beers I wanted wasn't cheap but you have to expect that for small-scale imports and other hard-to-get beers. The local stuff seemed reasonably priced.
I don't have much to say about the staff other than that they were friendly in my limited dealings with them since I didn't test their beer knowledge at all. On my first trip the guy who seemed to be in charge gave me a free glass when he saw how much beer I was buying. I was just so happy to find all those beers that it was an unnecessary (but appreciated) gesture.
Overall this place is a welcome oasis in the sea of standard alcohol shops you find in the region and I wasn't disappointed on either of my trips. Check the selection on their online shop first to make sure the trip is worth your time if you're not local.
