Received a four pack and tulip glass under my tree this year, picked up at the Christmas market in Metz. Deep copper hue, faint head. Spicy smell, with just the right amount of carbonation. A nice take on the Belgian style wih some added spiceness for Christmas. Different from the German Christmas beers I have been drinking...a nice change of pace.

250 ml bottle, poured into 1664 glass. Not much of a head, clear, amber colour. Smells of yeast and caramel. Tastes sweet, bit of lime cordial in there. Lots of carbonation. Not the best but ok for the price, few chemicals in there so I wouldn't session it but 2/3 are ok

750ml bottle bought from Gap Wines, Belfast..
Poured quite a deep coppery orange colour. White head poured quite small then faded to almost nothing.. Light carbonation and lacing...
Aroma - Pretty unpleasant - sickly, cloyingly sweet malts, creamy corn, sweet fruits (oranges, some pineapples, pears), strong spiciness, peppery, salty notes, honey, soapy, can't really make out any hops over the sweetness, wet nappies, perfumey... not festive at all...
Taste Thankfully not quite as bad as the aroma but still not up to much... quite peppery, tart fruits (apples, bitter oranges), some ginger notes, definite sweetcorn / boiled rice, salty, sweet malts, nutty, very faint biscuity malts, metallic, soapy... again no real festive notes...
Feel - Smooth and creamy... light / medium bodied... Pretty much undrinkable because of the overpowering sweetness - i could just about finish the bottle...
Overall - Very poor.. probably best avoided...

650ml bomber with a plastic label on the bottle with christmasy things
Pours with a light amber body, fairly tight off white head with good retention, some nice lacing up and down the glass
Smell, .... sweetcorn, masses of it, tonnes of dms all round. Thick sweet malt and very little else
Taste, fairly alcoholic malt, sweetcorn flavour again (jolly green giant tinned sweetcorn that is...), thick cloying malt, few hops to speak of but a slight bitterness on the finish
A pretty awful beer, almost a drain pour. I spent over £3 on this, it being the only beer in the store i knew nothing about i consulted the owner and when i asked was it like a biere de garde he said yes and recommended it...
All in all, stay away,.... far away. This is either a euro lager or light belgian pale ale inmo

Dark copper color, almost no head. Kind of transparent, even if the beer's dark... Lots of spices in the smell. A pleasing carbonation. Very sweet beer, lemon mixed with spices, some anise. It reminded me somehow of a mix between red wine an ginger ale. Some wooden aspects. An enjoyable mouthfeel.
I got more than I expected with this beer.
