I love this store!! It is really hard to review on the qualifications listed above, on quality, selection, value, etc.. For Hawai'i, and the Big Island in general, the quality is great, and selection/value are excellent. So, I reviewed this compared to other liquor/beer stores in Hawai'i and not the Mainland.

Located on the road to Hilo from Waimea, Kamuela Liquors is on the left side of the road just past the Tako Taco. Walking in the door, the store is quite cluttered and small. What in Hawai'i isn't? But the things that are cluttering the place are cases of fine wines, and the best selection of liquors on the Island. Toward the back of the store on the left side, are the coolers that hold the beers. The first few are filled with Macro BMC products, but the rest hold the craft selections. A large selection of Deschutes, Sierra Nevada, and Rogue, fill the coolers. Past that are a nice amount of imports. A surprising selection of Belgians are in the last cooler, but Hitachino carries a nice amount of beers, plus some rarities. Recently picked up 2009 Abyss, Double Dead Guy, SN 30th Anniv, Celebration, and the like. Although not a great selection for Mainland USA, it is a blessing for us in Hawai'i to have this store available, and a must stop for beer loving visitors.
