This was a Mystery Beer challenge growler fill from the Northbridge Pig. Took a lot of notes, but didn't guess this brew -
A: Poured into a snifter - slightly hazy copper-orange... tea-like; thin, creamy white head; not much retention or lace... kinda fizzy.
S: Toasted malt; orange peel / light citrus; sorghum; bready.
T: Follows nose; bread crust malt; orange peel / rind; spicy hops on end.
M: Medium body; high carbonation; has an incomplete feel; zingy.
O: Fairly drinkable, although not the tastiest brew. Upon finding out it was an IPA, I was surprised... I was leaning towards a pale ale (and something with a lower abv).

22oz brown bomber
Hazed amber, good frothing. Obvious smell of Citra hops, a bit catty with loads of freshly smashed citrus fruit, hint of alcohol and a bit biscuity. Grainy maltiness, crisp and a little slick. A whole lot of hop oil and mild resin flavor. Juicy with a slight catty flavor, bitterness is not strong but the flavor is. Hint of alcohol, wild flower and faint of tropical fruit. Finish very hoppy.
Fresh and extremely hoppy, a great example if you are looking to see what Citra hops taste like. Fun to quaff back.

"Terrapin's 'So Fresh And So Green Green' is a beer that celebrates the hop! made with freshly picked, whole leaf 'wet hops' these off the vine beauties will encourage you to drink fresh, drink local and drink now." No bottle date, 2012 Release brewed with Wet Citra Hops. Brewed in the style of a Wet-Hopped American IPA.
Poured from a 22 oz. bottle to a pint glass. Served north of 51º Fahrenheit.
(Appearance) Pours a thick frothy head of a copper cream tone over a mildly hazy deep amber tone body. Carbonation is spritely and sparse, retention is slightly above average, lacing is thin and streaked. Pretty nice appearance. 3.75
(Smell) Hop presence is forward and well pronounced. Wet hop character is partly piney, mildly citrusy and somewhat spicy, very heavy hop character overall but a moderate at best bitterness. Malt presence is milder by comparison, some caramel and cracker malt, just enough for a mild base. Balance is very close, perhaps the bitterness prevails a touch more than the malt body, but it's pleasing with a very unique, diverse hop character. 4.25
(Taste) Hop character is a little more rounded with the malt body- some bready malt character meets a wet hopped spicy pine aroma with slightly less citrus character and a bit more moderate of a bitterness than in the aroma. For a wet-hopped ale, it is rather tame and generally well balanced at the slight sacrifice of . An interesting hop choice but with a little less character than I had expected. 3.75
(Mouthfeel) Medium thickness with a clean malt slickness. Body is medium+ for IPAs and medium amongst all beers. Alcohol presence is low/medium, a bit called out by the otherwise clean hop presence. Carbonation is a touch high. 3.5
(Overall) Citra hops provide a great aroma for this beer but a less complex flavor, which is where it really counts most. As most wet-hopped ales are, this one is a little thicker, smoother and more balanced than dry-hopped ales, but I wasn't terribly impressed by the hop variety in itself- it was far more limited in the flavor than in the aroma. Regardless, I'm looking forward to next year's hop choice but don't regret this purchase. It's held up quite well. 3.5
