22oz bomber, bottled Sept 30, 2010 (per the case stamp).
Pours clear amber with a one finger off-white head that fades quickly to a light wispy cap and only leaves a few spots of lacing.
Aroma is fairly weak, but does feature some grassy, earthy, floral hops, a bit of citrus, and some sweet bready malt, starts to pick up a bit of a medicinal note as it warms up.
Flavor is also fairly weak with some floral and grassy hops, some caramel malt and bread. Mild bitterness & mild sweetness. Finishes dry and watery.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and slick, low to medium carbonation.
Pretty meh...especially for $8 a bottle, but the bright side is that is makes me look forward even more to the Sierra Nevada Harvest awaiting in the fridge along with my last two bottles of the amazing Founders Harvest Ale.
Does get a bit better as it warms but is still unremarkable particularly if it is going to be categorized as an IPA (seems more like an APA to me, and even then it's weak sauce...)

Very nice clear amber color.
Aroma is elusive, as in not much there, but I pick up a faint grapefruit and coniferous resin.
Flavor is kinda spicy and floral with ambiguous tropical/ citrus notes. Maybe I taste the alcohol too, but this is not a super strong beer at all.
Medium body with a sweet leaf finish. And I don't mean Ozzy.
I would drink this again, btu I wouldn't pay the $8.49 it cost when Sierra Harvest is better at $4.99

Bomber poured into an oversized snifter. See-thru amber with a skim of head and small collar of foam that manages to leave some scattered specks of lacing.
Coming from the PNW, I've been lucky enough to try a ton of of wet hop ales, and I know how wonderful they can smell. This certainly doesn't smell bad, but is a bit on the tame side. Moderately herbal and floral, with a vague maltiness.
Strange-tasting brew. A sharp initial bitterness quickly turns into a metallic flavor that threatens to drown out anything else. Herbal and grassy hop flavors do a decent job at fighting for attention, but it's that metallic flavor that lingers. On the positive side, malt sweetness is definitely kept in check. Some nuttiness lingers with the metal in the finish.
Overall impression: Pretty much a mess. Can't recommend this one.

Pours a fairly dark amber color with a moderate white head. Minimal lacing. Run-of-the-mill appearance.
Nose is loaded with hops. Resiny with flowery, spicy notes. The malty backbone is detectable. Taste is fantastic. Loaded with fresh, resiny hops. The malt is mixed in wonderfully and adds a bit of a sweetness to the character - a bit of a spicy, brown sugar sweetness. However, the hops are left here to shine - the malt doesn't get in the way; it merely compliments it.
Mouthfeel is good.
All in all, very impressed with this beer. I enjoyed it much more than I expected, since I've generally been a bit disappointed by the Side Project series. I'd say this is probably the best in the series - I liked it much more than Hopzilla. A fresh hop assault with a nice slightly sweet undertone. Tasty as hell.

Hmm. Really wish there was a fresh hop IPA category, in my mind these are different beers than standard American IPAs. I like the style when done well, with their herbal hops and slightly waxy notes, but when done poorly they can taste of rotting vegetation. This one is clean and nicely herbal, if a tad on the lighter side. Pours amber with a fairly light head that fades to nothing. Smells assertively herbal, but not spicy, and with some notes of paraffin in the background. Almost downright skunky. The taste is similar, but with pleasant additions of cream, some nuttiness, and more waxy notes in addition to the fresh herbalness. Quite smooth, and even a little creamy. Somewhat soft and not a lot of bite. I enjoyed the experiment, but from a lot of standpoints this is probably a better experiment with local hops.
