Purchased a growler from the Charleston Beer Exchange.
A - Pours a nice semi cloudy orange, copperish color. Small off white head, a fair amount of lacing.
S - Piney and citrusy hops with a nice caramel/vanilla aroma. Slightly smokey, and oak/burbon smells.
T - Awesome! Burbon/oak flavors take charge up front and finish with nice citrusy hops and some pine too.
M - Very little carbonation, almost juicelike. Medium bodied, I'd say a little lighter than the traditional hopsecutioner.
O - I love whisky, and I love hopsecutioner, this stuff is delicious!

Served a cool looking mason jar Terrapin pint glass at Rivermont Pizza's Terrapin pint night. Thanks to Ranger for coming out. Review from notes.
Appearance: A little haze to this orange pour. Soft, fluffy, off white head.
Smell: Big oaky, vanilla aromas, almost cedar-like. Caramel malt and piney and citrus hops. Really nice.
Taste: Again, strong woody and vanilla flavors. Good bitter hoppy bite balances the considerable malt sweetness. Pine and citrus, more subdued than regular Hopsecutioner, but tasty.
Mouthfeel: Its just very soft and creamy feeling. This freshly tapped cask has plenty of carbonation. Some sticky hops resin on the finish.
Overall: Better than the sum of its parts. I had two-- quickly. Very tasty and drinkable.

Cask at the Greenfest in Decatur put on by the Dogwood Alliance.
Pours a murky dark copper color with a two-finger off-white head. The head recedes into a thin layer on top leaving decent lacing.
Smells of slightly bready pale and caramel malts with good amounts of citrus and floral hop aromas and heavy oak.
Tastes similar to how it smells. Malt flavors that skew more toward pale than caramel kick things off. Joining in shortly thereafter are large amounts of citrus and slightly herbal hop flavors. Midway through the sip a good amount of oak makes its way into things - more oak than I've ever tasted in a Terrapin oak-aged beer but it manages not to overpower everything else. The malt flavors are buttressed by mild amounts of breadiness and carry through to a mildly bitter ending.
Mouthfeel is good. It's got a solid thickness with grainy carbonation.
Drinkability is also good. I finished my glass without a problem and could have a few more.
Overall I was surprised how much the oak flavors shone through in this beer, as mentioned above it had the most influence of any oak-aged beer I've had from Terrapin. I don't think it took anything away from nor do I think it added much to an already solid beer. Worth a shot to decide for yourself.
