Not impressed. The beer was sub-par. The food didn't hold up to the price paid for it. Had to park up an alleyway and walk. Too small of a place when they get busy. The open window was kind of cool, but the flies from the garbage cans in the alleyway were enjoying the food more than I was. Heard a lot about it > had to try it out. It's worth one try.

Stopped in here for lunch with some buddies. It's a smaller place that was packed with a group of thirty. The ambiance is great with all the beautiful brewing equipment sharing the same room as the pub. The service was good but slow due to the large group. Also two of the three food orders were missed by the kitchen so those came out at the 45-50 min point. However, the management automatically put the food and beers on the house even though we didn't ask. The fish taco I had was tasty. They had nine of their own beers on tap. We tried the Extra Pale Ale, DIPA and Mocha Porter. All of them are good, and I really enjoyed the DIPA. This place is worth a visit if near Yuba City.

This is just off the main street in the downtown area. Atmosphere, well there is none really except the tanks are right behind the bar, no wall or glass partition, right there. And that is where they pour the beer from, yep right from the tanks. They do have taps, three guest taps and one cider. I had the DIPA which was average or jusy above and a sample of the Red Ale which was the same. I was not going to eat here as I was heading to Chico and SN Brewing but they had a Reuben salad on the menu which I have never even heard of before so I ordered it and it was very good.
Just up the main street is a place that is not listed on BA called The Happy Viking that has 50 or more taps.

Sounds like this place has been open for about a year, based on the reviews I just read. Bar is kind of nice, pretty long and the seats are unique, huge, with wooden slats, pretty comfortable. Fermenters line the area behind the bar, at least 8 or so, in a line (left to right) going back toward the brewing area Tables dot the rest of the restaurant area. The inside looks kind of thrown together, not your classic restaurant/bar set up. Location is in what appears to be downtown Yuba City, about a mile off of Hwy. 99.
Service was OK, pretty standard. Was there at lunch time and just had a sampler platter of beers. Only 4 beers on tap when we were there (Light Stout, Just Another IPA, Riley's Red Ale, and Franklin Jr. DIPA). The Franklin Jr. was pretty tasty, overwhelming hop aroma and flavor, lighter in color. Just Another IPA was OK, a little malty. Light Stout was solid, but really that's about it, and the Riley's was also solid, but kind of impressive in a way, I'd definitely drink this one again.
Sorry I don't have better descriptors of the brews (probably why you don't see beer reviews in my profile). From what the bartender said, it sounds like the brewer who crafted Franklin Jr. is no longer brewing there, which is too bad as that was the standout of their offerings, without question.
Quality was OK, some things about the beers I quite liked, but also some inconsistent notes. Wish they had more than the four to try. They served them straight out of the tanks, which I've never seen before. Very interesting.
Worth a visit if you are traveling on Hwy. 99 up or down the valley, not far off the highway and the beers are worth checking out. Can't comment on the food.

I love this place. I've been venturing my way here since it opened late November 2010. The service could use a little bit of work, but the environment feels great as well as the look and feel of everything. I think it's great, tgat as I'm typing this now, the guys are cleaning up the fermentation tanks just on the other side of the bar, answering questions from the locals while doing their job.
Mark and Peter are making some incredible brews right now. I'm taking home a growler of their Watertower IPA. I can't wait until they are getting their stuff onto shelves and really making a name for themselves.

I have lived in Yuba City for close to 20 years and I am very disappointed in our first brewery. All I can say is please stop brewing with YUBA CITY TAP WATER. Anyone from this area is able to easily taste the minerals and hard water after taste. This beer would taste a lot better if brewed with filtered water. The beer is light in flavor, which would be fine if I was not able to taste the strong notes of tap water. Food, atmosphere, and service were decent but they don't make up for how small the location is. My wife and I felt like we were eating in a closet.

Dropped by for their soft opening today. I think i was the first customer actually. The place was nice and clean. Plenty of copper and wood decorarions, nice.
Food was good, i had the michigan dog amd belgian fries, was pleased with the dog and its price (3.50). They only had the irish red ready to go, but it was nice. Malty, caramely, and creamy. I also got to samplethe upcoming pale, which was quite nice for not being ready yet.
Service was good, the bar tender was attentive. The owner, mark, was also nice to chat with. Best of all he eas totally receptive when i asked about my homebrew club seeing how things are done in a commercial brewery.
Of note, house beers are tapped directly from 1000l glycol cooled serving vesels- never seen this before. Very much looking forward to seeing more from this brewery.
