Our flagship beer, brewed with Floor-malted premium U.K. Maris Otter pale malt, plus crystal and chocolate malts, to balance an international kettle hop bill of West Coast (Palisade - for bittering / flavor) and New Zealand Nelson Sauvin (flavor / aroma) hops, with an added hopback charge of whole U.K. Kent Golding hops to add a unique late hop finish. A true ‘hybrid’ Premium Pale Ale blending worldwide ingredients and brewing techniques for a nuanced, complex brew. The name was inspired by a New York Observer newspaper article describing Alex Hall as having "a face like a raindrop"!

On draft at The Good Life, Massapequa Park, NY.
Poured a light copper hue with a half finger foamy white head. There was decent retention and lacing.
The smell featured a light fruity esters, a grassy hop and a rich of caramel.
The taste featured toasted bready malts, a crisp caramel and a lingering grassy hop spice.
The mouthfeel was typical of the style.
Overall a tasty and well crafted ale.

i had this on tap with dinner @ the apollo grille in easthampton,ma. a clear auburn with a nice two finger creamy head with some retention. not a lot on the nose what i did get was musty earthy malts. the taste was immediately the same..musty earthy english malts..with a dry-ish hop bitter in the finish. i was hoping for a little more from this brew but would have it again.

I had a small glass of this beer at Rattle N Hum in Manhattan's midtown area. A pretty good beer but nothing too special.
Color was pretty pale, as it should be and carbonation was very active. The beer was surprisingly hazy as well.
Aroma was quite nice, with a citrusy hop presence as well as some bready qualities and some other fruit characteristics.
Flavor was also nice, a little thinner than I had hoped for but pretty good.
A very easy drinking beer that I could have a bunch of. The reasonable alcohol level makes it a nice session beer for the hot summer days.

Cask at d.b.a., Brooklyn, NY
A: The beer is cloudy orange in color and poured with a thin white head that slowly dissipated.
S: There are light to moderate aromas of citrus and grapes from the hops in the nose.
T: The overall taste has a light amount of bitterness with flavors of grapes and hints of toffee.
M: It feels medium-bodied and somewhat smooth on the palate with a low amount of carbonation.
O: The beer is very easy to drink and has a good balance between the malts and the hops.
