Pours a clear dark orange form the can. Rising bubbles are seen. A very thin ecru head. Very sweet malt aroma of orange and candied yams with carmel sauce with some earth hops behind. Taste does not follow. Taste is hops: pinecone-woody and grapefruit skin. There is a sharp tang in there as well, not metallic. Decent.

A light tan head settles into a nice lacing above a clear bright copper-reddish colored beer.

Light roasted malt aroma with nice hops presence coming through as well.

Roasted caramel malt presence in the taste is balanced with a fair amount of almost citrus like hops.

A lighter dryish aftertaste that harbors some of the roasted malt tastes on this medium bodied beer.

Decent enough example of this style of beer, I wouldn't mind downing a few of these on any given afternoon.

Decent beer, can from my Arizona adventure. Served in a shaker pint glass. Beer is red and clear with a tan head of small bubbles, low retention, low carbonation.

Aroma is sweet, a little roast, some apples?

Beer is medium in body, a littel hoppy, some decent flavors but just an average beer. Probably not a repeat for me.

Picked up a sixer from Total Wine in early August for $7.99.

Opened as a gusher as did the whole six pack. Beer poured a cloudy amber with a decent white head that disapated quickly.

Nose is mild floral hops with a hint of toffee.

Taste is very well balanced between the floral hops and toffee malts.

Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and fairly smooth.

Overall this is a pretty good version of an ESB, kind of a poor mans Fuller ESB. I had a couple of friends who sampled it, neither one of them hop heads, and both found it very good. I am a hop head and i definitely found this worthy to try!

a hazy amber pour with very little head which quickly disappeared. smells of molasses, caramel - very subtle. tastes a bit tinny, sweet caramel like malt, a bit bready, slight bitter finish.. just like the smell, lacking in character. light to medium bodied - light body with a nice creaminess to it, moderately carbonated.

this is a very standard red/esb.. i tend to really like esb's, but this one was just very mellow with flavor/smell, and not really that impressive with mouthfeel and the appearance. i've had worse, but i've also had way better.
