First - I don't know if the style I selected is correct. The bottle only says "Special Ale. Contains Barley Malt." But it struck me like champagne, which is why I picked the Biere de Champagne style.

Reviewed from notes. Poured from bomber into a fluted pilsner glass.

A: Clear gold, with a *huge* fluffy white head, and tons of big-bubble carbonation.

S: Fruity esters (apple, pear, grape) with vinous & barnyard funk characteristics.

T: Follows the nose, and overall seems very much like champagne in character. It has the fruity esters with a bit of funky barnyard. Dry finish, and a bit tart.

M: Champagne-like mouthfeel, light body, tons of carbonation sensation, and moderate alcohol presence.

O: I don't know about this one. It's ok, seems different than any other beer I've had. And in some respects, doesn't seem much like beer. Not bad though.
