I was very happy to find this place while I was down in Key West earlier this week. They weren't there 6 months ago when the wife and I were down. Key West really needed a place with decent craft beers.
The owners are very friendly and more than helpful with picking out beers to taste. Plus, they're willing to give you a taste of any of the beers on tap. I believe they have about a dozen on tap with a fairly large selection of bottles/cans to augment that.
I found the prices very reasonable, especially for Key West. I belive most beers were around $5, which is about what you'll pay for a draft of Key West Sunset Ale at most bars on the island! I will definitely be stopping by here whenever I'm down (as long as they manage to stay in business).

This place is great! I went down to Fantasy Fest and my buddy and i were on the hunt for some Cigar City Beers. Well, we found The Porch. This place is really hard to find as its in an apartment structure across from from The Whistle Bar. This place had a great tap selection: DFH, Cigar, Avery, Shipyard, Oskar, ect. However, they had a really fresh bottle section too. Avery's Collaboration not Litigation and Beast in bottles there (servred with proper glassware). We got a bottle of Cigar City Humidor IPA and Avery's Collaboration. The only issue i had was the "island" price. I think the bottles we purchased were jacked up a few bucks for the festivities however, i can't be sure. Nonetheless it was a little pricey. All and All worth the stop for sure!

After finding the place, the bar is located in a house that looks like it was an original house built 150 years ago. A small bar and nice seating area, and you can sit outside and overlook all that is going on Duval street. All the taps there were craft, and a couple imports, with a huge bottle selection. DFH, Stone, Avery, Bell's, Cigar City, etc. The bartender was actually the owner and got talking to him. Really nice guy, knows his products, and wants a great selection. He said, you can get a BMC anywhere, I don't want that. A hidden gem that I made sure of to hit everyday while I was there.

I had to add this place to BA because I was so impressed with the it. I was not planning on drinking any decent craft beer while in Key West except what I brought along, so this was a welcome surprise.
One night, while walking down Duval, all the power went out. This was during the lobster festival so there were tons of drunks in the streets. We decided to duck off down a side street, and like the previous reviewer, happened to see the craft beer sign. Looking up, we were surprised to see an old key west style house through the dark, surrounded by a wrought iron fence. The candlelight glowing from inside was a beacon.
Once inside we were impressed. What a great place to get away from the typical crawl. Great people, great atmosphere and great beer. The only letdown was when the lights came back on!
We had Left Hand Milk Stout, DF Sah'Tea, Orval and Bruery Orchard White. They also had BMC brews and a decent wine list.
Can't say enough about the place, check it out next time you're on Key West.

I visited this place while docked in Key West on a cruise. We were walking down Duval street and saw their sign mentioning "craft beer and good wine". Since previous research had shown most other places maybe carried, at most, some Dogfish Head, I decided to stop in.
VERY glad I stopped in here. Very nice atmosphere- it's located in an old historic home, and so it basically feels like youre walking into someone's personal bar room. Very spacious and clean. HUGE wine rack that takes up an entire wall, except for the big screen TV in the middle of it, with a PS3 hooked up to it. Blazing Saddles was playing when we walked in. This is a good sign.
The quality of the beer was good. Theyve only been open for a month or two, but the owners seem like the people who will make sure to keep the tap lines very clean.
Two of the owners were there working when I went in. They were very nice, and knowledgeable about beer. Had a good time talking to them. They let me try out any beer before purchasing a pint, and when I wanted a quick half-pint of something before rushing back to my cruise ship, they gave me one, even though their register wasnt set up to do half pints yet. Definitely seemed like some cool guys.
Being from New Orleans, which only has maybe 2 or 3 good beer bars, the selection seemed pretty good to me. Nice mix of US craft beers, as well as Belgians, and others. Any bar that has 8 taps, none of which is BMC, is bound to get my stamp of approval. Obviously it doesnt meet the selection of bars in Chicago or NYC, but for its location, its selection is GREAT. You wont be disappointed.
Value: Standard prices compared to what I'm used to.
Overall: By far, best beer bar in Key West. I went to a few of the places listed here on Beer Fly, and this one blows them away. My wife and I loved Key West, and plan on going back soon (and not on a cruise ship, so we can have more than 7 hours), and when we do, we will definitely be spending a lot of time at The Porch.
